The Reviews:

  • Equaline is a new branding strategy from Osco/Albertson's. The Equaline brand is supposed to give the image of a premium product at a store brand price.

The Equaline diapers I bought are not bad. They are not a full mat
diaper, meaning the absorbent material is in a single-wide strip from front to back. They have stand-up leak guards along the full length of the diaper. The backing is plastic, and they have three white tapes on each side. The wetness indicator is a single, narrow blue-to-yellow strip.

I bought the "overnight absorbency" in large size (16 to a bag). The diapers are very compact since they use a lot of SAP material, which means they "puff" a lot when wet. These diapers suffer the same problem that most store brands have, they are too short. If you buy the proper size for your waist, they are a few inches to short in the front and back. They are compacted very tight in the bag, and I find you need to manually pull the leak guards out to get the maximum benefit.

Despite the shortness problems, these diapers have a few nice points. They are very absorbent for one strong wetting, or a few smaller ones. They tend to want to fit tight and are quite unobtrusive and quiet under clothes. In fact, they are one of my top choices for wearing in public.

Overall, these are worth a try. They probably won't become your favorite diaper, but they do fill a nice niche for public wearing, and as a "fun to try" item. The price is good at about $9.00 a bag.
I like them, they are definitely worth a try.
