Dear Daily Diapers Letter with Answer

Dear Daily:

I have had a problem with bed wetting lately that doctors have told me was due to stress, and I have tried the different bedwetting medications to stop it but they don't seem to work. Now I don't have a problem wetting the bed, but when ever I am wearing a diaper I just cant fall asleep, so I usually have to end up taking it off and wetting one of the bed pads I have

Can you give any advise on this

Dear Friend:

If you are not comfortable in diapers, and have a bedwetting problem, my advice is for you to try timed toileting at night. Set your alarm for about three hours after you go to bed. When it goes off, get up and go the bathroom, then go back to bed. This should keep you dry at night, though you may need to adjust the time based on when you usually wet at night.

If you are determined to wear diapers to bed, try this: Pick a night when you have nothing going the next day. Put a diaper on early in the evening, then keep yourself awake until you are so tired you can't keep your eyes open.  You should be able to sleep then and may tell your mind it's okay to sleep in a diaper.
If it's a comfort thing, try putting the diaper on a little looser, and then using a diaper cover to hold it in place without being too tight.
