The Forma Soft Slip seems to be relatively unknown and only available from Germany (as far as I know/at the moment). They are made by unizell Medicare GmbH, who seem to be a decent sized company with a lot of products on Amazon.de.
The Forma Soft is matt plastic backed, very plain, no glossy landing strip, no definitive wetness indicators, just faint dark grey text running up the middle saying Forma Soft Slip and a batch number. Due to there being no shiny bits they are quiet, although being plastic there is an unavoidable but slight rustle if you move a lot. There are two refastenable tapes either side which if misplaced will rip the plastic when pulled off. The white tapes can take about 4 refastenings onto the blue tapes before starting to lose their stickiness. The waistline has the usual stretchy section in the middle with a bit of foam across. They don't have any scent, just the normal "clean" smell that other brands have.
The large size is pastel green all over and has the dimensions - Crotch 6.5 inches; 38 inches stretched length; 29 inches across wing width. Compared to other brands they are most similar to Abri-Form in the same size. They are quite thick, very similar to Abri-Form X-Plus, but not as rigid as those. There's no "quilting" of the absorbent material so clumping can be an issue if you stay in them for several hours and move a lot. That said during nighttime use they're just fine - no leaks so far.
The feel is very soft, both outer and inner, the fit is great and the leak guards do their job very well. They can take several wettings (of course depending how much you void each time) and there must be a good amount of SAP because they bulk up nicely, transforming into a very squelchy bulky nappy! |
