So this is the new Attends Extended Wear. They rate a 6 on Attends'' capacity scale; the highest they make now. When you first put it on you realize this is for major wetness. It is thick. Very comfortable. Holds alot....alot. Great for at night or around the house. people may know you have this on as it is so thick and cushy. It has the soft outside with 4 velcro-type fasteners. One fastener came off completely during the night, so don''t tape very tightly. Otherwise, excellent.

Here is my review of the Attends Extended Wear diaper.

Let''s start with the best feature, comfort. These diapers are VERY comfortable, either during the day or at night. The inside and outside have a cloth-like covering that feels good against the skin and doesn''t rub. The downside, its not plastic. Being a DL, this is ok with me, since I look more for comfort than plastic, but some people may not like it.

Next is capacity. As a DL, capacity is high on my list, and this diaper falls a little short. Yes, it can take a morning flood and keep you dry, but just once. The front does swell up nicely though, since they have polymer in ALL the fluff front and back, but not enough in the core to make it comparable to the Abena x-plus, Molicare, Bambino, or EU Tena.

Now for the worst rating, this diaper has NO leak guards. I would think and extended wear or overnight diaper would have them, but this one doesn''t. This cuts down capacity since wetness can leak out the sides before filling the diaper. Poor design in a somewhat expensive diaper.

Due to the cloth-like covering this diaper makes no noise, maybe another issue for some AB/DL''s.

The diaper is very plain, white with two yellow stripes, typical of Attends.

The fasteners are velcro and hold well overnight and during the day.

Overall, I rated this diaper a 6, for decent capacity, great comfort, but poor design by leaving out leak guards at a cost roughly $1.50 each.

Attends extended care (north american)

With my local shop no longer carrying the slip 10''s i figured what the heck, how bad can they be?

I was mildly surprised on several levels.

For starters I''m not a fan of the non-woven breathable backing, I find it isn''t as strong and it tends to irritate my skin more than regular plastic does. These were extremely comfortable!

Looking at how thin they are(as compared to abena etc) I figured they''d be not very absorbent, however they seem to have a very good mix of fluff/polymer, as they absorb fairly fast, and hold that moisture well!

The biggest innovation i think is attends has gone away from an adhesive tape and gone to a hook/loop type idea (velcro?) the tapes are fastenable anywhere on the diaper, and they hold very well even after multiple repositioning, with this diaper gone are the days of tapes popping etc.

Over all its not a heavy duty diaper like an abena xplus or molicare or mega careline premium etc, but for comfortable daytime wearing I''d buy these again.

The only downside to these is they do not have an inner leg cuff, which is something I''ve come to appreciate, that said, I found it wasn''t that big an issue due to the good fit! (I was able to adjust again and again till i got the fit perfect, and re-snug the diaper after it was wet)

Over all I wouldn''t reach for these as my first choice, but as a second choice or in a pinch I wouldn''t hesitate at all!

on the subject of price point, I payed 25.99 for the package, which contains 18 diapers, the math is left as an exercise for the student;)

I tried the new attends extended wear after reading the xp medical review of them. Rite aid has an online sale of 2 packs of 18 for like $38 with free shipping. I'm impressed on several fronts. The tapes seem to have two fastening methods, a sticky part with a velcro-like section at the end of the tape tab, making for a very secure tape that you can reposition several times. I'm about a 32-33 inch waist, and the medium fits very well without leaving huge gaps at the stomach, even though it does not have an elastic waistband. They're plainly decorated, but the color is a light salmon-pink in medium. They're very quiet when walking around, even when wet, and are very comfortable to sleep in. Despite being high capacity, they will leak a bit if flooded, but can handle large amounts spread out over a long period. While not as absorbent as an abena x-plus, nor as quick to wick as a molicar super plus, these do rank near the top of my preferences, and maybe the only higher capacity brief that can be discretely worn under clothes.

Hmmm, there are goods and bads to this diaper.

The good:
very comfortable, even when wet. wetness pulled away from the body more than any kind i have ever worn before. (may be good or bad if you are ab/dl, depending on your preference). fairly thick but discrete with quietness. tabs ("tapes") are velcro-like. easy to adjust and do not rip apart the front of the diapers.

The bad:
peach color (now shipped that way, at least in the USA), not plastic!!! (the cloth covers are so boring IMO), tapes are like velcro which allow for easy adjustments but also allow for them for get rpartially caught up on underware, no leak guards and no waistbands front or bad.

I just got my first package from ups today, I opened the bag of diapers and pulled one out. first the color of the diaper is white with a hint of peach/orange. The tapes are a little wider than the other attends diapers, the diaper did appear to be a little thicker (folded). I unfolder the diaper a saw that the diaper padding/gel powder was thicker and it had good coverage, the rest of the fake cotton cloth outside cover also appeared to be thicker and stronger (better quality than the reg attends)I put the diaper on and immediatly felt its softness and thickness, i taped it shut and was astonished by what i felt, for once i felt like i was wearing a real quality diaper, a little side warning- if you are very shy about public diapers than you may want to wear this one at home, after wearing for an hour ie rolling around, laying down, walking, sitting, it was time to test the capacity, i let out a good soaking and flood. i would normally get a little worried if a wore a depends maximum or a reg attends but the extended wear took all of it no problem and was thirsty for more!! still wearing and going a little at a time and the diaper is holding fine, it actually flufs up quite a bit like a pampers or huggies overnight but at a much larger scale, no diaper stuffers need only the extended wear, i will be buying these diapers again, got them from drugstore.com for 38.00 usd free shipping and descreat

Tapes hold up really well and do not rip off of the side as I have had an issue with from previous Attends products. This diaper holds quite a bit. I was able to get one free sample from their website and am really impressed with the performance and quality of it. Would reccomend this to anyone out there that would like a highly absorbant product but does not mind a cloth like backing to the diaper.
