I called Kins (a.k.a. Babykins) to order these about a month ago. I got them yesterday. More on that later. When I ordered the vinyl version of these pants, the people Kins told me that the polyester version was much more durable, but I got the vinyl anyway (see my review). Well, they were right. The vinyl was thin and felt delicate, so I decided to go ahead and order these, too. When they arrived, I was amazed at how thick the "polyester" was. These things aren't lined with rubber, like Gabby's polyester pant, these things ARE rubber. They're really tough. The terry lining inside is thick, just as it was on the vinyl version, and isn't sewn in at the legs, so there's less chance of wicking. Smart design. The fit is good, and the feel of them is excellent. They make you feel good all over when you pull them on, and if you had the pleasure of wearing rubber pants when you were young, the sound when you walk will take you back like nothing else I've tried. Now for the bad stuff. This is the second thing I've ordered from Kins, and both times they have taken literally twice as long to deliver. I don't suppose this would be a huge deal except that I try very hard to keep these things quiet from the wife. She knows I wear diapers, but being confronted with it really wreaks havoc in our marriage for a while. Not good. I asked Kins to email me when they shipped the pants (they didn't), and I asked them for a tracking number. When I finally got that out of them (I had to call . . . again) it didn't work. Believe it or not, I'm still married, in spite of Kins' best efforts. I'll probably buy from them again, but I'll rent a PO box first. Pant: A Customer service: D - |

I use these pants as an overpant, over a disposable diaper. These are lined with a single layer of terrycloth, all around, sewn only into the 1" waistband: not sewing the liner to the leg cuffs cuts down on wicking. I sleep on my side and the disposables have leaked before through the sides. Using these overpants is the way I negate the bed-wetting effects of this.
They work well, but are mostly for peace of mind, as I've taken to wearing a diaper the next size larger then what I might ususally wear. It's true that Kins is slow and needs improvement in customer service, but I put up with 'em. |
