Connor's Unfortunate Lesson: Part Four Update
mikejackson999 replied to LilBoBleep88's topic in Story and Art Forum
I thought it was good. I hope this isn’t all though, I would love to,see it continue -
Nice. I was always a wanderer. Another time, when I was 4, I was being babysat at home by a teenage girl so I went out the back door and grabbed my scooter and went for a ride, and I ended up going roughly 1 1/2 miles and being stopped by a train (I did have enough sense not to go around the gates) and when the train passed, a lady on the opposite side saw me and called me over (no stranger danger from me. Lol) and drove me to my towns police station where they got hold of my stepdad. When my stepdad got there, he asked me where I was going, and I told him to see him and mom at work as I was going the way they go to work everyday. Stepdad took me home, had me lay down on the seat, got out and asked the babysitter where I was. Was told I was in my room playing so my stepdad called for me and I got out of the truck. Babysitter was fired immediately, as she didn’t even know I was gone for almost 2 hours. Luckily nothing came of it besides a cursory “keep an eye on him, he’s trouble lecture” from the lady who picked me up, who worked for CPS. I do remember losing the leash because my parents trusted me, and of course I took off, but instead of chasing after me, they decided to,see what I would do, and I ended up finding them so they knew I wouldn’t get to,far before I would turn around in public with them

I have several pictures of me around the ages of 3-7 having a dog leash attached to the back belt loop of my pants/shorts that I was wearing to prevent me from running off. My mom and stepdad would catch hell from my dads mom all the time over it, until, as my mom told me, I took off on her while at a mall when I was 4 and it took almost half an hour to corral me, and she never said anything again. It wasn’t until I was in 2nd grade that I stopped trying to run all the time

The pacifier is better but for public appearances, the crayola is best. Unless of course you don’t care or are open about your lifestyle

It wasn’t just him though. They closed one sorting center back in 2000, and Gary in 2014 or 2015. But the rest is true, they have devolved many post offices to make them no longer efficient in order to close them. The only reason my town still has a post office is because the locals pushed back on the plan to close it back in 2017. I expect there will be another attempt to close it soon though, and sadly,mi just don’t see the pushback keeping it open this time considering the current administration is doing whatever it wants regardless,of,outcry

The USPS closed every sorting center in my immediate area, so now if I send anything through the mail, it goes to South Holland Illinois, roughly 70 miles away, where it is than routed to its destination. A birthday card for my nephew, who lives only 10 miles away, takes close to five days to arrive, because from South Holland, it than travels to Indianapolis, than to Ft. Wayne, than routed back to my local post office to be delivered. It used to be, my post office, than Gary, than delivered. When I was a kid, my area had two sorting centers, and sometimes you could drop something off at the post office, and if it was local, it would arrive that very day, now it’s a minimum of three days, which is why my towns sewer bill has a disclaimer in bold on the bills stating that if paying by mail, send it in at minimum 4 days prior to due date to avoid late fees (which to be fair, they are very generous when it comes to not wanting to charge late fees, as they have waived mine a lot because my bank is a prick when it comes to online bill paying as they only send payments weekly, not daily to them)

I like how Jaime’s whole world just crashed down on him, yet he was mature enough to realize that he needs the help of the program. good job on the character development of not just Jaime, but also other characters in the story so far, especially the one who appears to be his only true friend at school

Just because you select discreet does not mean it will come that way. I have had orders (nothing that needs to be hidden) that I selected discreet or,place in Amazon box arrive in manufacturers packaging. I always select discreet because I do not need everyone knowing what I ordered from amazon

I know people who are nearly 50 and still haven’t hit that level of maturity with handwashing. One always asks me why I never eat anything at his house unless it’s never been opened. 😊 I had no choice as a kid to wash my hands after going to the bathroom, my parents and grandparents would always grab my hands and if they were not cold after I came out of the bathroom, send me back to wash them I wonder how this place would react if Jaime is afraid of the dark. I can’t sleep in complete darkness, even as a kid, I always needed a little light. I’m not afraid of the dark, just hate being in a completely dark situation.

If this were real, 30% would believe it’s real, 30% would say it’s a lie or fake or AI generated, and 40% wouldn’t care either way. As far as the FBI goes, considering this is a school for the ultra elites of the world, the FBI would be told to cease any and all investigations by the US Attorney General, because the ultra elites do not have to follow the same rules as us lowly paycheck to paycheck schmukes.

I’m glad they are going to be able to have a proper finale at least, unlike what Discovery got.

I was at a Best Buy once and my total was $666.60 after tax and the lady didn’t even want to read my total and asked if I would purchase a bottle of pop or candy bar to get it off that number. I politely refused, and could tell she was mad. She never once said that total, and acted like a portal would open and swallow her.😀

10 Reasons Star Trek is better than Star Wars
mikejackson999 replied to spoonchicken's topic in Scoop The Poop
I remember being 4 years old standing outside of River Oaks Mall in Calumet City Illinois to see Star Trek: The Motion Picture. My stepdad got me hooked on Star Trek, and Spock was my favorite. I cried when I was 7 leaving County Seat Plaza in Valparaiso Indiana after watching Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan when Spock died at the end. In between those two things, I remember being taken to Dunes Plaza Theater when I was 5 to see Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and the theater had people dressed up as Luke, Leia, Han, Chewy, Yoda, and Darth Vader. I was terrified of Yoda, even running to hide behind Vader, and Vader telling me that Yoda is ok. 🤣 Basically I grew up watching both, and I absolutely love both. I will never say one is better than the other. They both appeal the same to me. I have been to many Trek conventions over the years, but I have also been to many sci-fi conventions that had Star Wars included as well. I have collectibles of both as well. When I see that some say that Trek is sci-fi and Wars is fantasy, it makes me mad, because both to me are sci-fi and fantasy at the same time. So both are great IMO -
What do you miss the most from the 80’s ?

The freedom from being tracked, when away from the house no one could get hold of you, the cartoons, no body pains
