1) I recommend a diaper with a tape zone. I don't know how many times they can be undone and readjusted, but I've never done it so many times that it wouldn't stick. Also once you show her where in the pattern the tapes belong, all she has to do is find the same spot.
2) Being a SGT in the military we teach step-by-step and that works. During 'training' she is the hand and you are the mind guiding her. Talk her through it step by step, don't let her go in blind.
Well I have to support this brag. This sounds like a really good sign for your marriage. The fact that she did this for you, when she wasn't comfortable says a lot about her character and how much she wants to see you happy.
Just a warning, not to ruin the great mood, but this doesn't mean it will be a regular occurrence, but it probably will happen again and more often. Think of it as the more she does it the more comfortable she will become, the more comfortable she is the more often she will change you, causing a cyclic reaction, all in your favor.

Lets assume that your GF is starting to come around to the idea of diapers. You need to move very slow and cautiously. You can scare her away and neither of you want that.
Now just because she is embracing the little girl side of our world doesn't mean she is ready for diapers. Most women will go for childish, but full on baby is a huge jump. So pig tails and acting silly, isn't really pushing her comfort levels, but they also show that she is trying something for you and that means more than anything else.
If she is ready to try "Diapers", I highly recommend pull-ups. They really aren't that different from underwear. Think of it this way: most children now a days transition from diapers to pull-ups to underwear, she will be doing the opposite. Pardon the pun, but take "baby steps". If her pants size is in the single digits than there is a very good chance that she will fit into Goodnights. If not than you will need to go to adult pull-ups. Do not, I repeat, do not go straight into diapers.
Also if at any point she is uncomfortable with it, don't try to force it on her. STOP!! Don't guilt her or try to con her in anyway. Also don't expect her to develop the fetish. It is wired into us at an early age.

If you have read any of my posts when someone asks for a Diaper Recommendation? You already know what I am going to say.
My wife and I love these diapers.
They never leak!! I have been wearing them for 4 years and my wife has been wearing them for 3. I am a flooder and she is a leaker/bed-wetter.
They have an odor locking mechanism that prevents you from being all smelly like a nursing home.
The Plastic is super soft and never chafes even if you wear them all day and night. The inside is too.
The "Tape Zone" is like super glue for tapes and it never rips. Plus if when you put it on you don't like the fit, you can simply un-tape and readjust them.
Elastic Waste Bands are in both the front and the back and they actually work to keep the diaper snug, even when they are wet.
The Customer Service Reps are super nice and have answered every question I have ever asked them. Also I suspect they are aware of us and appreciate our business. Especially since I don't sound old and told them they were for me.
In case you didn't know they are the company that makes the Bambinos Diapers. To compare them is a waste of time the only differences are the print on the tape zone and the wetness indicator.

The room internet went completely down like a day or 2 after my last post. They had to replace the satellite dish.
Location: We are within sight of Gardez.
Safety: I've been here for almost a month and not a thing has happened. Unless, you count them turning the cell phone towers off every night.
Diapers: Pampers Size 7 are a Soldiers best friend.
Contact: I call Annie every night from the office phones. It's limited to 10 minutes, but it is free and better than some people get.

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan. Since I am not at Bagram the Internet isn't very good, so I won't be able to post very often.
Sorry that I won't be able to give my two cents.
My wife packed size 7's in my Rucksack and she keeps me supplied every month, so don't worry about that.

My wife and I found these at Target.
The women's are purple, purple with white flowers and peach. They look great on her. Absorbency is kind of lacking though.
The men's are gray and gray striped, very drab and boring so we didn't buy them
The idea according to the official website is so that they will appear more like underwear and less like a diaper so people won't be as conciseness of them.
If I was to see one peeking out of a pair of pants in public and wasn't in the community I wouldn't even notice it.
So we recommend the women's set for anyone who likes girls pull-ups or goodnites. (all made by Kimberly Clark, coincidence I think not [joke er sort of])

Most likely "The Site" approached them as a norm AB/DL site and offered to pay them a standard advertisement fee. Like most any small company they took the money and didn't think about it, or even look into it.
I had come across them years ago and didn't realize that they were Peds until this whole fiasco. For that matter I had just thought they were childhood fantasizers. I'm not into that so I didn't delve any deeper, very much like the Wetters.org or "House of Shame" supported by this site.
My bets are that ABUniverse thought the same or just didn't check.
So I say cut them some slack...

Ignoring I Heart Diapers Girl's hate for all things non-Bambino, the rest of these reviews are spot on.
They look and smell GREAT, when its playtime these are the best we have come across. Now if you plan to wear for extended amounts of time or head out in public I wouldn't recommend them, but we didn't buy them for that and I don't think they were made for that.
A diaper made by AB/DL's was built for playing and sex and used as such we don't have a single gripe.
Just a warning my wife is a bit hippie ( is that a word? ) as such the 1 tape doesn't work as well as a 2 tape system, but like I said these were built for FUN.

Update: I have found 1 and only 1 flaw, they don't have any stretchiness to the waist so after a while of being in one with out pants or a diaper cover they start to sag and I find myself having to pull them up when I am walking around the house.
Outside of that this is by far the best play time diaper I have ever worn and my wife agrees that they look great on me, but I think she would say that about any diaper so her view might be altered by love. With the purple border and 'Pampers' scent we give it 4 thumbs way up!!
For general wear I will be sticking to Secure Personal Care X-Pluses, but for play time you can bet my butt will be covered in Smiling Hearts, Stars, Planes and Sail Boats.
