#591031 This Is So Sad

Posted by shydiaper2 on 11 January 2013 - 11:21 PM

I find it difficult to come to terms with her mothers statement that if someone found a cure, she wouldn't allow Brooke to use it.  I mean....she basically has such a limited existance right now....why wouldn't you want to 'cure' her?  Shouldn't Brooke be allowed the opportunity to enjoy life normally?

I was just about to say the same thing.  I think that's very myopic of her mother to say that.  She may like having her baby forever, but to deny her the chance of growing up and living a full life is selfish.

#505993 Are There Other Asian Dl Out There?

Posted by shydiaper2 on 01 June 2012 - 11:10 PM

It is somewhat curious that the AB/DL community (at least as far as I can tell, who knows what else may be going on that doesn't get posted somewhere online) seems to be vastly a white community.  I occasionally see other races, but it's pretty rare. Could being AB/DL be linked to some certain kinds of cultures?  I mean it'd have to be, right?  At least on a global level; it's not like the middle east is filled with babies who wear Pampers/Luvs/Huggies and dress and are treated exactly like babies are in places like the US, Canada, the UK, right?  I guess I truly don't know one way or the other.

*edit* A couple of things to add.  First, I initially completely spaced and forgot that this seems to be a big thing (relatively-speaking) in Japan as well.  Also, no sooner did I leave this thread than did I see a thread from an African American asking if there were other black ABDLs around.  Not the first time I've come across AA ABDLs online (I've seen black women in photo shoots on some ABDL sites), but it's still pretty rare in my experience.

I wonder if there are a lot of ABDLs in Euro countries other than the UK?  Are there a bunch of Spanish/French/German ABDLs?  I know there are at least some (well, I've heard of them from Spain and Germany, at least). What about moving on over into Russia?  China?  India?  Africa?

In general, I'd care to guess there's at least one in most places that have babyhood remotely similar to what we know in the US, but I wonder if there are (at least potential) ABDLs in places where babies are raised quite differently?

Just wondering out loud here.

I'm a couple of hours away.

What's this monthly much about that was discussed above?  AB/DL related, or just something more general?

Interesting.  I'm assuming this means more absorbency?  What else could it possibly, realistically, be?

Personally, I'm interested in them trying to make a more modern-style diaper to compliment the ones they have now.  Something that has the modern "cloth/fabric" on the outside, with a more velcro-style "tape" for the tabs.  Stretchier.

Also, I didn't actually get an answer to my question about my past CC use; if anyone knows the answer I would definitely appreciate knowing it!

Thanks

Wow, his friends could be innocent and have nothing to do with his actions. I would hate to be reported for something someone on my friend's list did.

For the record, as of this moment the post I'm quoting is set at "-1", and that's totally my fault.  I meant to click +1 and mistakenly clicked on the negative option instead.  I wish there existed a way for me to undo my mistake, but since I'm not aware of it, I'll put it on the record that I screwed up and clicked on the wrong thing.  Sorry!

Add me to the list of people who want to say to Bambino, "It's okay if your new product(s) have been delayed, we can wait, but please update us on why and perhaps give us a more realistic 'when', and thank you for what you do!"

Anyway, I see there's still no word on what this new product is.  Anyone have a guess as to when we might find out?  I'll guess it won't be for a few more months.

Isn't talking about how we feel about the product part of discussing it?  I mean you don't have a McDonald's discussion thread with a disclaimer saying "Do not tell us if you like the food," do you?

#297065 Are Bambinos

Buy a sample pack to try them out.  You'll know after you use a couple of them (assuming you don't get defective ones; which you usually will not).

Your lifestyle won't be accepted in most any place, not just the south, because you insist on 'living messy and stinky 24/7'.

#295834 Question About Sharing Stories Here

Well, if I'm going to do it, may as well be polite.

I'm wearing my first Bambino Classico in a LONG time, and it's better than I remember!  I think they've changed the tapes since I last had them (they definitely feel different, and I thought they used to be blue; these are white), this batch has a more "correct" elastic on the front than my bags of biancos had (they were unusually stiff and not as soft).

Plus, while I'm more DL than AB, I do like having the baby print on the front.  All in all, I'm loving the classico again!

I'm going to say this one more time. Ageplay is roleplaying that involves adults playing as their younger selves. An example would be a grown man who dresses in a onesie and sucks on a pacifier. Everyone knows he's an adult. At the same time, everyone knows that he's playing a regressed role. Sure, some people like to imagine being "transformed" into a baby, but you often don't see content that depicts them as babies or as children that are sexually stimulated. When we see that in effect, that's pedophilia and that's what you see on that unmentionable site.

I see what you're saying, but you cannot ignore the fact that the people who write those kinds of stories, if we assume they are AB/DLs, are probably writing their own fantasies from the point of view of being the youth in the story, not the adult, and that's a very important distinction.

If they are writing those kinds of stories to live out their fantasy of being an adult who gets into sexual relations with children/babies, then I am in total and complete agreement with you and the others.  That could be what they're doing.  And if that's what they're doing, then they are wrong and should be shunned, opposed, criticized, etc.  I'm completely with you in that case.

If, however, it is what I suspect it very well may be, that the fantasy is being the youth in those scenarios, then that is not promoting pedophilia.

I'm not entirely sure what the word for it would be, but I think it's a form of psychological/mental regression, at least partially.  Age play probably isn't the right term because I would agree with you that age play is when adults act as younger people.

It somewhat reminds me of how you hear about women who have rape fantasies.  Obviously they (probably?) don't want to actually be raped, and if they were to write erotic fiction about a woman being raped, it would not mean that they promote the raping of woman.  It only means they get off on the idea of they, themselves, being raped. There is a distinction between the two.

With all that having been said, if I were them, assuming they are AB/DLs and not pedophiles, I wouldn't touch a site like that with a ten foot pole (in terms of being the host/author of it) for fear of being misunderstood.  It's too easy for that to happen, and if I were them, I sure wouldn't want to be accused of such a horrible thing as pedophilia.  I think it's a mistake on their part to publish it for that reason alone.  But I don't begrudge people who have those kinds of regression fantasies.  Again, that's assuming I'm right and that they are not, in fact, pedophiles.  If they are, then to hell with them.

I think it's pedo if adults get off on stories about 10 year olds masturbating? Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's not as simple as it sounds when you consider that there are many AB/DLs who get off on pretending that they're toddlers.  I'm not saying that to judge, I'm just saying that I can see someone like that reading a story about young people and enjoying it because they imagine that they are the young person in the story.  As opposed to wanting to be with the young person, they are the young person (in their fantasy).

The kind of people I'm referring to don't (I don't think) want anything to do with pedophilia/children.  They want to fantasize about being that age themselves.
