BabyTara Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) Sorry if this has already been posted here, I couldn't find a company review. Edited December 9, 2013 by BabyTara Info added 12/9/13
square_duck Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Hey Tara! I ordered a couple of items from them a couple of years ago, back when they were in the process of shutting down but then they changed their minds and kept the company going Anyways, I usually wear mediums in disposables and cloth diapers, but larges in plastic pants..to cover everything, so I ordered 2 large sized pocket diapers thinking that they would be more then likely roomy enough for what ever I wanted to stuff them with. W*R*O*N*G! all their stuff runs small, so I should have ordered the XL pocket diaper instead. Luckily they make snap extenders that you can use to make smaller items fit better, so I have to order those to make what I have really work...*shrug* I also ordered the 'low rise' ones instead of the others, because I thought (wrong again) that the high rise ones would be 'to much'...live and learn I guess. If you have ANY questions Email the FIRST before ordering, just to make sure of the sizing, and don't forget that you will be stuffing these, and that takes up more room, so you have to account for that and the thickness of what ever you will be putting in the 'pocket'... As for quality, (I haven't worn what I go.....yet) They seem well made and durable and the workmanship seems really good, so thats all I have for ya sport....'K? hope that helps, qwack
babymaggie Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 My daddy Honu has bought them in the past. He can correct me if I am wrong, the snap-ez would always wick at the legs so you still have to wear a protective barrier over them to protect from leaks. It has been a long time since we ordered them so maybe they have improved.
square_duck Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Mostly I am curious about the inserts and the materials they are made of, like hemp and fleece. I am curious about how they perform vs conventional materials that I am used to like Birdseye and gauze. Supposedly the hemp has a better capacity than conventional cotton, couple that with the fleece really makes for a higher performing absorbent product, with less bulk, making for more discreet wear It might be a while before I order these...but something on my shopping list In talking with Honu a while ago, I remember him saying that these had a propensity to wicking and leaks, and I think we discussed possible solutions, one being a deeper (wider) middle / crotch area that would compress when worn, to create a deeper 'well' area that would also be further away from the leg elastics, but allowing the absorbent materials to do their job, yet remain comfortable and somewhat discreet... Don't know what ever happened with that....Hmmmm.
babymaggie Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 You would have to ask daddy ducky, he does have a new type of diaper that has a snap in liner that you add inserts too and I am not sure if he had last December.
