So, normally I buy whatever I can afford. But right now I have a good stock on cheapies. Second hand no brand name diapers that don't exactly fit the best hehe. I think they may even be deffective.
Anyhow... I decided to order a sample pack from either Bambinos or Cushies. The problem? I can only afford one sample pack right now and I don't know which are better. That and Bambinos have like three or four different types... They don't really signify the difference between each other besides the decoration...
So, what's your opinion? And does anyone know the differences?
Thanks,
-Kim

Never used Cushies, but Bambinos are my current favorites. Go with the Bellisimo or the standard Bambino and you won't be disappointed. If you like to wear over long periods, definitely splurge on a sample soaker pack!

Tried both.
Cushies look very nice, but are expensive and hold not much.
Only tried the original Bambinos, they are very good, but still not as good as the Tena slip maxi I wear fairly often. Tena slip maxi are more absorbant than original Bambinos, fit very well(Bambinos run small for mediums), Tena slip have that mesh liner just beneath the top sheet to stop too much skin irritation(to stop the wetness going back on the diaper core to the skin).
Same reinforced landing zone as Bambinos. Best standing leg leak guards I ever known in Tena slip maxi. 24 to a pack and fairly cheap to buy.
UK only sells Bambinos as 8 to a pack and fairly expensive.

I enjoy the cushies fit, however I agree on the absorbancy. They really need a stuffer to last a couple wettings. They are more the AB factor as far as babyish and pamper fit. Though I think the design is a bit over the top for me. Purple hearts and things all over the whole diaper. Maybe im old school but I like a white diaper with a nice babyish panel. If your considering the cushies you might want to think about their other version the super dry kids. I actually like those better out of the two as they have super tapes and good fit for me. Its whatever your going for, they are all good. I used to enjoy bambino best, but their sizing changes have left me between sizes and they no longer fit as well as before. So I have been using more abyuniverse stuff lately. I do like their new cloth cover diaper also, the velcro tapes are very nice and can be repositioned any time. I hope this helps and I made your decision making easier.

I think as most products you'll find a different opinion depending upon who you ask... So Take mine as such. Overall I prefer ABUniverse and usually go there with the Cushies and SDK lines, but I also like the new Cushies with the cloth like cover because it's got a great fit to it and the Velcro tabs can be re-sealed. Bambino does favor a better capacity, and I think their shipping rates are a bit more reasonable which seems like may be a concern for you. I did just order some bellisimo mediums that I have yet to try. One other thing to consider is customer service which from previous posting would go to Bambino, some people have had issues with ABUniverse, but I cannot say that I have ever had a problem and I have probably placed about a dozen or so orders, asked questions and have always received great service from ABUniverse. Well I hope you find this helpful, and please would love to see you post on here what you decide and what you think about it.

If you are looking for a good balance between really good absorbency and cuteness go with Bambino - but if you just want basically a novelty diaper go with Cushies. Cushies are pricey but cute. Bambinos are probably the most absorbent diaper on the market and have the cuteness factor. So, its a matter of what you are looking for in a diaper.

Bambinos. Used cushies and they are. No where near as absorbant as Bambinos. My personal fave is the bellisimo diapers. They hold a ton.

It depends on what you want from a diaper, since most everyone wants something a bit different. Generally speaking, if you want absorbency and performance, IE a diaper that does what it's supposed to, then go with Bambinos.
IF you want looks and generally a "prop" then go with ABU cushies etc. I've tried their Super dry kids and according to the website, cushies have the same performance as the SDK's, which means not much. They hold about as much as Depends....but a hell of a lot more $$$$
So as Adrian said above, so say I....for what it's worth.
I prefer performance to looks so I usually go with Bambinos. I say "usually, as I have the same problem that abycpl has in that I am between sizes now, so I switched to the secure Xplus or what ever Bambino renamed them to. At least those fit me better.
Good thing I wear cloth also
I always have somewhere to go......literally!

TBH ABU products are only for novelty. I've used them a lot and they do not hold better and are over the top for me. Too much is going on with the cushies. I personally never liked the cushies. I love the super dry kids but they and the cushies are basically the same exact diaper with different prints. I would leak straight through the plastic everytime so I needed plastic pants everytime. And actually abu's diapers fall apart much easier than bambinos and they are of lesser quality. They do look more babyish but are crap. They need better plastic on the outside and need better absorbancy.
If you want an amazing diaper, get the bellisimos. they are super comfy and super absorbant. and they look really cute too!
