Biggie: Our site rules require that you first ask before PM'ing someone else in chat - no exceptions except for friends who you already know want to see your PM's. If you aren't sure then ask on the chat board first - then do as the intended recipient asks you to do You can be banned for screwing up in chat just the same as on these forums Yep- rules are rules everywhere

Report rules violations and we will investigate keeping your name anonymous We can go back into the Chatroom Logs and see what has gone on in there later

well while i have never been shy about admitting i enjoy having hte plus and neg. buttons, i do not like neg'ing someones post when i simply meant to hit multi quote! lol.... so thought i'd explain to others that no one had intentionally neg'd that post... cause u know.... then it could snowball, and suddenly u have like 500 negative rep points and i mean we all know how serious the reputation system is to be taken!!!

Even if you had a giant window pop up when you first go in saying don't PM without permission you would still have people doing it. Some people are just inconsiderate or don't care, as such you will always have unwanted PMs.

Sadly this is true A fairly large portion of internet users are simply inconsiderate jerks who think that because they're accessing it through their PC, they have a right to do as they please And then when they find themselves in trouble over breaking rules somewhere, they get mad- as if the world is supposed to let them get by with it while making everyone else toe the line You wouldn't believe some of the responses and arguments Mods get when they have to act. It would be funny were it not for these people actually believing themselves to be right I dropped in chat one day and got 3 PM's right away- two from friends and one from a Newbie who wanted to.... umm, let's not go there I replied with one word: "Moderator" and within 30 seconds he checked out of the entire website and hasn't been back since

You can't convince me that this guy didn't know he was in the wrong- he was simply trolling and trying to get away with it. And on a public site like this one that will happen- it goes with the territory So if you get an unwanted PM ask them to stop; and if they don't report them. We will do what is necessary to keep this the best dang ABDL website there is

But it shouldn't have to be that way. It's a rule to ask in main chat to PM, which I am now aware of, and if I get an unsolicited PM, I report them, then I inform them since they didn't ask to PM, they have been reported.

No, you're right. It should be that everyone on the internet is sweet and nice to each other and there are flowers and unicorns and rainbows (ON FIRE!) everywhere and we all hold virtual hands and sing Kum-By-Yah.

Except - it's the internet, so trolls will be trolls, and ya just kinda gotta suck it up and deal with it, or else don't bother with the chatroom. (I chose the latter a long time ago).

well on diaperchat there is a bot always in the room that if pmed without asking auto bans for 30 minutes. Writing a script like that helps remove the pervs

I can see a single flaw in that plan... there are several people on here i chat to regularly, they have an open invite to pm me and likewise i can pm them...

so with a bot like that we would get banned? doesnt seem to foster friendships, which i thought this was all about

One more thing I should have added to my earlier reply: Please try to play nicely in the Chatroom While there are no specific rules about that, if the teacher sees you misbehaving she'll send you to the Principal's office He's a meanie who will put you in time out, and if you're really bad, you might get a spanking too

okay couple things. Not sure if its jsut me or not but when someone pm's me, yeah the window pops up but i wont be able to see the room again until i close the PM which i find annoying.

But also, i want an ignore option. If there is someone in the chat that is jsut being really annoying, gross, or obscene, instead of sitting there and seeing them on the screen i would prefer to be able to block them....not just from PMing me, but from seeing what they post in the room.

The bot is only detecting a pm to itself. So other person to person pm's are unaffected. Used to run a bot like this in the OLD undernet diapers channel. Rotate the name every few days and we would catch quite a few creeps that way. Sigh.. I soo miss talking through the mommy bot on #DPF. I used to come up with some interesting stories. The bots could also pick up keywords and apply actions from " mommy change me" pulling up a diaper changing script to "mommy %name pm's me again, make him/her stop" and mommy would then kick the offending person from the channel. we kept actual bans to moderators and admins, and even the I think we had somewhere between 60 -100 different ip's o the ban list.

If you don't like what someone is saying, hit ignore or block them, simple.

i've been repeatedly pm'd by a user. I always state that i do NOT want any Pm's, yet hey every time they log in, i get one from them! what a shock...they're a moron. Now, aside form just being able to ignore a PM from a user, how about a general IGNORE button...So that when they PM me without asking, I can jsut flat out ignore them COMPLETELY!

A system used quite well in IRC, a la diaperchat is that there is a bot mod in the chatroom at all times. You leave the name as something that would be an obvious lure for the creepers and if they private message the bot it's an auto ban for thrity minutes.

Agreed, I am actually really confused why people would be offended if they received a private message once from a person.
