Episode One – Baby Mel Says Hello

The video displays a young woman in her bedroom at night. The woman is question has pink-dyed hair, blue eyes, and appears to be Caucasian. She is wearing a blue tank top with dark purple pajama bottoms. Her hair frames the sides of her face in sleep-tangled curls. Despite her disheveled appearance, the woman is quite animated, gazing at her web cam with an eager expression.

Melissa: Hi everyone!

She waves at the web cam.

Melissa: This is my first vlog, so I’m going to apologize in advance if you don’t care for the, ah… ‘production value.’ It’s my room, my show, and my life. If you don’t like any of what you see here, it’s really easy to fix.

She leans toward the cam with an intense glare.

Melissa: Go. Watch. Something. Else!

She holds the glare for a moment, then leans back and grins again.

Melissa: Hope I didn’t scare away all of you. Anyway, I’m Melissa, but when I’m online, I like to be called “Baby Mel.”

She sucks coyly on her thumb and smiles for the camera.

Melissa: It’s been an idea that I’ve been kicking around for some time, but I finally got the nerve to set it all up, because I really want to talk about what interests me.

She frowns.

Melissa: Well, let’s be fair—I’ve met a lot of people who share the same interests as me, but hardly anyone’s going to be open about it, so I decided to do just that.

She reaches below her desk and pulls a black travel bag onto her lap, which she opens.

Melissa: So what I am is an AB. That’s short for “Adult Baby,” which means I like to do this.

She takes out a pink pacifier. She then puts it into her mouth, sucks on it for a moment, and puts it back in the bag.

Melissa: Every so often, when I’m not working or at home, I like to dress and act like a baby girl.

She reaches into her bag and pulls out a pair of adult diapers.

Melissa: And yes, that means I like to wear diapers.

She smiles.

Melissa: I’m actually diapered right now, but I’m not gonna show it. I happen to believe that not every girl with a web cam is obligated to show off her underwear.

She sets the diapers down on her desk.

Melissa: Now, I’m sure a lot of you might be thinking, “So, Mel, you like to dress up as a baby? Sounds pretty kinky to me.”

She glares into the web cam.

Melissa: First of all, take your mind out of the gutter. It is true that some Adult Babies and Diaper Lovers—by the way, some people are just into wearing diapers and not being babies, so they’re called Diaper Lovers, or DLs—that some of us find a kind of sexual pleasure out of being little or being diapered. And there’s…

She laughs.

Melissa: There's nothing wrong with that. I simply don’t find the same kind of pleasure. For me, baby clothes and diapers are how I deal with stress. I’ve had to be an adult ever since I was thirteen when my parents got divorced.

She looks somberly away from the web cam for a moment.

Melissa: It… screwed me up. A lot. I don’t want to say too much about it.

She smiles again.

Melissa: But it’s important to remember is that there are times when I need to be an adult and take on all my responsibilities. That’s who Melissa is. Any other time, I’m Baby Mel, and I hope you’ll get to see more of me in my next episode! So thanks for watching and I hope you’ll stop by again!

Episode Two – Baby Mel Answers Your Questions

Baby Mel is sitting at her desk, brushing at her pink hair. She smiles and waves into her web cam.

Melissa: Hi guys! Baby Mel here! It’s about nine-thirty where I am right now. I’ve had a long day, so I’m getting ready for bed early, but I knew I couldn’t sleep without sending you the second episode of my vlog series!

She leans back and pats the waistband of her pajama pants.

Melissa: So, as you can see, I’ve got my jammies on and that includes my diaper. I’ve also got…

She reaches down and picks up a white teddy bear.

Melissa: Norbert, my cuddly bedtime friend. Say hello, Norbert!

She lifts one of the bear’s paw to mime a wave and mouths a quiet “Hello” to the camera.

Melissa: So I’ve gotten a ton of questions in the comments section since the first episode went up, and I wanted to answer some of the best ones. Now, I have to say that some of you out there aren’t being very nice with your questions…

She leans toward the camera with a stern glare.

Melissa: And you know who you are. If you’ve got a serious question, ask it. If you just want to make fun or call me names, then get lost. I mean it. Go find another blogger who shares your views—go start your own blog for all I care! Don’t waste my time if you’ve got nothing constructive to say.

She sits back and smiles at the camera.

Melissa: Okay, serious time over! Norbert and I will now read your questions.

She clicks her mouse and looks at her computer screen.

Melissa: First question is from Dairy-Thing, who asks: “Does your hair color have anything to do with being an Adult Baby?” Well, no, actually!

She tugs at a strand of her hair and smiles.

Melissa: It’s pink because that’s the color I like my hair to be. Before, I tried it as blue, green, orange, black, gold… I even went completely white, but that was for Halloween. I was a witch, you see. But I will say, Dairy-Thing, that having pink hair is related to my interest in being an AB in that I’m expressing myself in both ways. I like being different. Being cute is like being punk, only instead of cut-up vintage clothing, it’s frilly dresses. So I hope that gives you some perspective about me.

She clicks her mouse and looks at her computer screen.

Melissa: Okay, next question. BetaBrekahh99 asks: “My parents also got divorced when I was pretty young. Do you feel that your parents breaking up led you to this kind of fetish?”

She smiles.

Melissa: Okay, two things, BetaBrekahh. It’s not a fetish for me, just how I choose to live my life. And as for the divorce, well… it’s complicated. I mean, yeah, my mom was terrified of growing old and my dad’s got a hell of a temper, but I don’t think they’re at fault for who I am… at least not all of me.

She frowns.

Melissa: Does that make sense? I guess what I’m trying to say is… beyond the divorce and what my parents did, my childhood was still good. I’ve a ton of happy memories and a lot of friends growing up. If anything, acting like a baby girl is how I remember those days…

She smiles into the camera.

Melissa: When I’m not working, that is. Some people e-mailed me under the assumption that this is all I do. Well, I do work for a living. I won’t say where, but I actually work full-time at my local animal shelter. There’s so many poor little critters that just need a little love and attention, and it’s the best job in the whole world.

She holds her teddy bear up.

Melissa: Just like Norbert here! I rescued him at a garage sale and we’ve been together ever since! Ain’t that right, Norbert?

She mimes the teddy bear nodding and turns back to her computer screen.

Melissa: All right, I’m gonna do one more question for tonight. Let’s see… okay, BrandoneXX asks: “So I just found out that my girlfriend is an AB too and I don’t know how I should feel. What do you think?”

She smiles into the camera.

Melissa: Good question! Well, the thing is… it’s something you’re going to have to figure out for yourself. I don’t know what it’s like between you and your girlfriend, so I don’t know what this news is doing for your relationship. If you still want to be with her, then I guess you should sit down and talk it over. Listen to what she has to say and try to be sympathetic. It probably wasn’t too easy for her to expose this side of herself, so it’s in your best interest to help her through the process. Once you’re both clear about your feelings, then you can decide—together—how you’ll go from there. So I wish you both a lot of luck and I hope it all works out for the best!

She clicks her mouse, then turns back to the camera.

Melissa: Well, that’s it for tonight, everyone. I appreciate all the questions, and I hope to answer more of them in another video. I’ll try to put up these episodes on a regular basis, but with my job and my social life, it might be a little difficult. This vlog is a hobby after all. It shouldn’t be more work than it has to be. She takes out a pacifier from off-camera and sticks it in her mouth. She then holds up her teddy bear’s paw to mimic waving goodbye.

Episode Three – Baby Mel’s Weekend

Baby Mel is sitting at her desk, wearing a fluffy white bathrobe. She smiles into her web cam and waves.

Melissa: Hi guys! Baby Mel here, late-night edition! I’m sorry that Norbert couldn’t be here, but it’s way past his bedtime. Even little teddy bears like him need their sleep!

She clasps her hand together and frowns.

Melissa: Oh, and I’m extra sorry about not posting earlier. It’s been a… very interesting weekend for me.

She grins excitedly, tugs at a loose strand of pink hair.

Melissa: I’ll explain in a minute. Before I do, I would just like to say that I appreciate all the nice comments you guys have been leaving. It’s encouraging to see that a lot of you aren’t just members of the AB/DL community, but also people who are new to the whole concept of “Adult Babyhood.” I just wanted to say that because I don’t want anyone who stumbled onto this vlog by accident to think that it’s meant for Adult Babies and Diaper Lovers only. If you like what you see, by all means, keep watching!

She gives the web cam a thumbs-up and winks.

Melissa: Okay, so… got some big news to share. See, I went on this trip to Portland with a friend of mine named Rebecca. Just to clear this up—Rebecca was my first college roommate and we stayed roommates up until graduation. We stay in touch and try to meet up about once or twice a month. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better friend…

She frowns and turns to her right for a moment, then snaps back toward the web cam with another grin.

Melissa: But enough of that—I have to tell this story! So Rebecca and I were going up to Portland for the weekend. So we checked into this hotel and got separate beds and it’s all going very nice. And I have to say that Portland is really lovely this time of year.

She grabs her arms and shivers.

Melissa: It’s really, really cold, but it’s lovely. So, anyway, we went out for dinner at this Italian restaurant that serves the best Veal Parmagiana ever. We’ve having a good time talking and all, and then Rebecca asked about something of mine she said she saw on YouTube a week ago.

She frowns and glances around.

Melissa: And I’m, like, “Oh… really?” Well, it turns out that Rebecca found this vlog and she was very surprised to discover that I was an AB—that I’d been one all through college, even though we’d shared a bedroom and everything!

She frowns toward the web cam.

Melissa: Now, some of you might be saying, “Well, what did you expect by putting this video up on YouTube?” And to be honest? I didn’t expect it would draw a whole lot of attention. It wasn’t like I left my real name anywhere on my account or told any of my friends or family. So, if any friends or relatives of mine are watching right now, well…

She hesitantly waves at the web cam.

Melissa: Hi! I’ll explain everything whenever I see you next! Um… I love you…!

She runs a hand across her face and shakes her head.

Melissa: Good to get that out of the way. Well, back to the story. So when Rebecca told me about how she’d found my blog, I have to say that she took it surprisingly well. I asked her if she was offended in any way and she said that, more than anything else, she was just a little amazed that I hadn’t told her before. But she did say it helped that I was very forthcoming and informative on the blog, so I think that helped soften the blow for her.

She smiles with relief.

Melissa: After dinner, we went back to our hotel room. I wanted to get some sleep after the long drive up, but Rebecca wanted to talk some more, so I explained what I liked about being a baby and how I found wearing a diaper to be very comfortable. She seemed interested in what I had to say and she asked some good questions like… if all ABs need a Mommy or Daddy to role-play with.

She blinks, then smiles into the web cam.

Melissa: Come to think of it, now might be a good time to explain another side to being an AB. It isn’t absolutely necessary, but some ABs find that, when they’re pretending to be little, they have someone else to be what’s called their “caregiver.” It can be like a Mommy or a Daddy, but it doesn’t have to just be one of the two. That person could be an older sibling, an aunt, an uncle, a nanny, a babysitter… just all kinds of possibilities, really. Some find they like getting spanked and punished and some just want a caregiver who nurtures them.

She stares off to the side for a moment, smiling wistfully.

Melissa: If you were ask me, I know I wouldn’t want to be in a dom/sub relationship. Oh, and for those who don’t know, “dom/sub” is a term from the BDSM community, where one partner exerts influence over the other, and it’s through consensual agreement by both partners. I know it sounds strange, but there are some people who have very fulfilling relationships this way.

She pauses for a moment to collect her thoughts, then smiles into the camera.

Melissa: Speaking of fulfilling relationships, Rebecca and I really bonded over this trip. We talk on Skype every night and it’s tons of fun. She’s even suggested that she’d like to come see me as “Baby Mel” one of these days.

She smiles and shrugs.

Melissa: Well, it think it’ll be a lot of fun when it happens. As much as I love my online friends and fellow ABs, it would be nice to have someone in person I can share my interest with. So I guess that’s about it. I really want to put up another episode before Christmas and New Year’s, so hopefully you guys won’t be waiting too long.

She waves to the web cam.

Melissa: This is Baby Mel, wishing everyone a good night and pleasant dreams!

Episode Four – Baby Mel’s First Guest

Baby Mel has on the same pajamas that she wore in the first episode. She is sucking on a pacifier and reading something on her computer. Then she turns to her web cam, takes out her pacifier, and smiles.

Melissa: Oh, hi there! Baby Mel here, and if you’re like me, right now you’re very tired from catching up on Christmas shopping and going to a ton of holiday parties. But don’t worry! I’ve got more than enough energy for tonight’s awesome show!

She glances down and clears her throat, then looks back up at the camera.

Melissa: So, as I said in my last episode, I had a big weekend with my best friend Rebecca, who’s been following my vlog. To make a long story short, we’re still good friends and she’s even interested in approaching the AB/DL lifestyle from the perspective of what we in the community call “a Mommy.”

She grins.

Melissa: Well, after a lot of talking and spending some more time together, we decided that it’d be best if Rebecca showed up to discuss her point of view on my blog. So, guys, please give a warm welcome to my friend, Rebecca!

Baby Mel scoots over as another young woman sits down next to her. She is about the same height as Mel, with luxurious brown hair, green eyes, and very pale skin. She has on a pair of gray sweat pants and a navy blue sweater. The woman turns to the camera with a cautious smile and waves quickly.

Rebecca: Uh, hi there!

She turns back toward Mel.

Rebecca: Hey, thanks for… having me on. I know it’s your own show and all, but…

Melissa: Not at all!

Mel gestures toward the camera.

Melissa: So, if you’d like to talk about your thoughts on everything you’ve learned so far about the AB/DL community, as we like to call it…

Rebecca smiles and glances back and forth between the camera and Mel as she speaks.

Rebecca: Okay… well, when I first found out, I was kind of surprised that any adults were into this sort of thing. I guess I could see some people doing it for, like, Halloween or for a joke, but not for, like, real life or anything. But then, when you explained it to me, I… I started to see why people might like it.

Rebecca blushes and glances away from the camera.

Rebecca: I mean, it’s not like I’m converted or whatever.

She frowns.

Rebecca: Um, would it be “converted” or… what would you call it?

Melissa: Don’t worry about that. So, Rebecca, what got you interested in the “Mommy” role?

Rebecca tilts her eyes up and to the right, thinking.

Rebecca: Hmm… I’d have to say… you.

Melissa: Aww!

They share a smile and a hug. Rebecca holds onto Mel as she looks toward the camera.

Rebecca: For all of you watching out there, I would just like to say that Melissa—excuse me, “Baby Mel”—is just the cutest little button in the whole world and I don’t care who knows it! She’s a great grown-up friend, but when she’s this little girl…

She shakes her head and smiles.

Rebecca: Something in me just melts when I see her. I feel like I should rocking her in my arms and putting her to sleep or something.

Mel closes her eyes and smiles back.

Melissa: Love you, too, Mommy.

Rebecca: Aww, too cute!

Mel opens her eyes and waves at the camera.

Melissa: Well, I think that’ll do it for tonight’s episode. I want to thank you, Rebecca, for being such a good friend and for coming on my show tonight.

Rebecca: Oh, my pleasure, sweetie.

Melissa: Thanks for watching, everyone! This is Baby Mel and her Mommy Rebecca, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Episode Five – Baby Mel Answers Some More Questions

Baby Mel is sitting at her computer, wearing a white pullover with her hair pulled back into a bun. She hugs her teddy bear Norbert to her chest and smiles into the camera.

Melissa: Hey, guys, it’s Baby Mel and Norbert! I hope it’s warm and cozy wherever you are, because it sure isn’t here!

She exaggerates her shivering and grins.

Melissa: Thanks again, guys, for all the nice comments you left on my last video. I know Rebecca was really touched and, yes, she will be back in some future videos. However, she just started her new job, so she won’t be available all the time, but she definitely wants to help me with this show.

She claps her teddy bear’s paws together.

Melissa: Hooray for Rebecca!

She sets her teddy bear off to the side.

Melissa: Okay… just have to put Norbert away for the moment. So, guys, I really appreciate all the feedback I’ve been getting, and I thought I might answer a few more questions on this vlog post. Some are questions I’ve been meaning to touch on since my second episode and some are more recent.

She grips her hands together and frowns at the camera.

Melissa: Oh, and if I don’t answer your question, don’t worry. I plan to do more of these kinds of episodes, so everyone will get their turn… provided your question or comment isn’t mean or badly written. I know it’s the Internet, but come on, people! Grammar and good spelling haven’t gone out of fashion just yet.

Mel looks toward her computer screen and clicks her mouse.

Melissa: Okay, first question! TDL asks, “Mel, do you wear your diapers in public?”

She smiles into the camera and shakes her head.

Melissa: No, not really. I tried it once or twice, but I was just so paranoid that someone was going to point me out. And besides, I’m not “Baby Mel” whenever I have to leave my apartment.

She grins.

Melissa: For one thing, she’s much too young to buy her own groceries! That’s what her Mommy is for! But I will say, on a more serious note, that I think some people can wear their diapers in public without too much trouble and I applaud them for it. It takes a lot of self-esteem and courage to do that, not to mention self-control.

She looks back toward her computer and scrolls her mouse down.

Melissa: Next question is from ToblerDrone, who asks, “Mel, do you ever think you’ll ever settle down and have a baby of your own?”

She frowns, looks at the camera, then at her computer, and then back at the camera.

Melissa: Well, I guess so. Someday. When I’ve met the right guy to settle down with…

She grins.

Melissa: Someone who’ll be a Daddy to both my baby and me! I know it sounds weird, but when you think about it, we both want the same thing—a strong and loving provider. Of course, I couldn’t just be Baby Mel, but “Mommy Melissa,” and if I’m ever going to do that, I’m going to need some help from Mommy Rebecca.

She shakes her head and turns back to the computer.

Melissa: I hope that answer was confusing enough. Moving right along! Next question! The_Mattador writes, “Would you ever post pictures of yourself in diapers online? Just kidding ha, ha, ha!”

She flashes the camera with a tired smile.

Melissa: Thanks a lot, Mattador. It’s guys like you that make me feel proud of how far the human race has come. And as a warning to all you crazed perverts watching this, if I get anymore spam messages or requests for nude photos, I’m going to send you pictures of a used diaper—without me in it!

Her smiles becomes less friendly.

Melissa: It’s like what I learned from my parents. If the world gives you lemons, make lemonade. If it gives you crap, shove it right back in its face.

She shakes her head and smiles.

Melissa: Sorry for getting so indignant there. I really hate having to smack people down, but there are times when it’s just what they need. Well, I guess that’s all for tonight’s show. Again, sorry for the dark ending there, but it’s a point I really needed to make.

She picks up her pacifier and grabs her teddy bear from off-camera.

Melissa: I’ll see you all in a little while, hopefully with another cameo by the lovely, lovely Rebecca. This is Baby Mel, signing off! Good night, guys!

She sticks the pacifier in her mouth and gives her teddy bear a hug.

Episode Six – Baby Mel’s New Mommy

Baby Mel is sitting in her room with the curtains drawn behind her. She is wearing a lime green t-shirt with blue pajama bottoms. Her pink hair has been pulled into a pair of pigtails. She smiles past the pacifier in her mouth as she looks into the camera, then pulls the pacifier out to talk.

Melissa: Hey, everyone! Baby Mel here, hoping you’re having as good a New Year as I am! Well, as busy as we’ve been with our jobs, you’ll be happy to know that Rebecca and I managed to find some time for ourselves tonight. And since we’ve been practicing with role-playing, I figured we might as well put up a new video for you all!

She turns to her left.

Melissa: Okay, Rebecca! You can come in now!

We hear the door open and see Melissa’s expression change from joy to surprise, and then to horror. An older woman steps into frame. She has chestnut-colored hair and several deep wrinkles in her forehead, but her features strongly resemble Melissa’s. She glances at the camera for a moment and then back at Melissa. The younger woman looks at her visitor openmouthed for a few seconds more before swallowing nervously.

Melissa: Um, hi… Mom… I, uh… I didn’t think you’d be stopping by… today…

Melissa looks away from her mother and into the camera, pleading with the audience.

Mom: Melissa, dear. It’s been so long since we last spoke. I wanted to make sure that you were all right.

She gestures toward the camera.

Mom: So imagine my surprise when I find out you’ve been posting videos of yourself online! I had to go and ask Rebecca what you were up to since we never talk anymore!

Melissa throws her arms up in exasperation.

Melissa: Well, it’s not like you would ever listen to what I had to say! It’s not like I can just walk up out of the blue and say, “Hey, Mom, guess what? I like to wear diapers and be treated like a baby. Think you can accept me like that, no questions asked?!”

Mom: I would have tried! I really would have tried to accept it for your sake!

Melissa: No, you wouldn’t! You couldn’t be bothered with anything that wasn’t about how you were getting older and how Dad wasn’t as interested in you as he used to—!

Melissa is cut off when her mother slaps her across the face. The young woman reels, but does not look away. She holds her stung cheek with one hand while glaring back at her mother. The older woman glares back, but slowly breaks down into tears. She drops into a nearby chair and puts her head in her hands.

Mom: I’m… I’m sorry, baby. I really am sorry. I… I didn’t come here to fight. Honestly, I had no idea.

She lifts her head and looks into her daughter’s eyes.

Mom: I had no idea that I was responsible for this. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I couldn’t be a better mother. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there when you needed me. I’m so sorry…

Melissa stares back with less anger, but stays silent. Her mother puts her head down and begins to weep. After half a minute of silence, Melissa shifts in her chair and speaks.

Melissa: I’m… I’m sorry I went behind your back. I know you and Dad meant well, but I needed this. I needed something that the two of you just weren’t going to give me.

She shrugs and scoots her chair forward. With obvious reluctance, she leans over and puts her arms around her mother’s shoulders.

Melissa: Hey. Calm down, okay? I’m not mad. Really, I’m not. I just wasn’t expecting you today. That’s all.

Her mother sniffles and lifts her head.

Mom: No, sweetheart, I’m the one who should be apologizing. I…

She shakes her head and laughs, although it is choked with a sob.

Mom: I was concerned when you stopped calling a month ago. And around Christmas, I got an e-mail from your friend Rebecca. She… she explained everything that you’d been up to since then.

She pauses to wipe her nose with the back of her sleeve.

Mom: She sent me the link to your videos. And honestly, dear, I watched them all. I… I wanted to understand. I wanted to see that you were all right. And… as I watched, I saw just how…

Her eyes begin to water and her voice quavers.

Mom: Just how much I’d neglected you! You deserved a better mother and I’m sorry! I’m sorry I wasn’t one!

By this point, Melissa’s eyes have begun to fill with her own tears. She hugs her mother again, letting the tears fall.

Melissa: It’s all right, Mom… it’s… it’s going to be all right. I didn’t mean to upset you. I love you. I love you… so much…

She pulls back from her mother, as they regard each other with pained smiles and tear-filled eyes. Melissa’s mother leans forward to kiss her daughter on the same cheek that she had slapped earlier. Her right hand brushes along one of Melissa’s pigtails.

Mom: Oh, baby… my sweet baby girl… you look so adorable…

Melissa: Oh, Mom!

They hug again. Melissa’s mother strokes her daughter’s back and speaks into her ear.

Mom: When I came over, I thought I was ready for a fight with you. We’ve fought so much, sweetheart, and I know you never meant to hurt us. After I saw your videos, I… I was ashamed of myself. I realized that we… that we’d made you ashamed of yourself… and I didn’t think you could ever forgive us for that.

Melissa does not reply except to begin rubbing her mother’s back affectionately.

Mom: Your father doesn’t know about this. I… I didn’t want to upset him. You know how he gets when his temper flares up, and that last cold really took the life out of him.

Melissa: Thanks, Mom.

Mom: And I was thinking that, maybe…

Melissa looks up at her mother, who swallows uncomfortably.

Mom: Maybe I could visit you on the weekends and… we could… start over. Does that sound like something you’d want?

Melissa: You mean, like, we’d turn the clock back? Back to Day One, that kinda thing?

Her mother nods slowly, watching Melissa’s face with anxious anticipation. The young woman looks away for a moment, then up at the camera, and then back to her mother.

Melissa: Well…

Her anxious expression turns into a brilliant smile.

Melissa: I think that’d be nice. I think I’d like to be your baby again… Mommy.

Mom: Oh, angel!

They embrace again and laugh. Melissa is still smiling as she turns to look directly into the camera.

Melissa: Oh, jeez. I can’t believe I left my web cam on this whole time!

Mom: You mean it’s been recording us all along?

Melissa: I guess so.

The two women turn toward the camera and scrutinize it for a moment. Then Melissa slowly turns back to her mother.

Melissa: Well, this was a pretty important night. Maybe I’ll put the episode up anyway?

Mom: Only if you promise to never let your father see it.

Melissa: Done.

They laugh and nestle into their embrace.

A very different kind of story, yet interesting. It does show what could happen to someone posting something like it, and not wanting some people to see it, but out in ciberland, that is impossible. I will be interested in reading more.

Episode Seven – Baby Mel Says Goodbye

Baby Mel is sitting at her desk, wearing a fluffy white bathrobe and smiling behind her pacifier. She is holding her teddy bear in her lap and staring straight into the camera. She pulls out her pacifier and grins.

Melissa: Hello once more, guys and girls! This is Melissa, your Friendly Neighborhood Adult Baby! Well, it’s been an interesting week, hasn’t it? I’m amazed at how many views my last episode got and I’ve been reading through your comments, too.

She smiles teasingly.

Melissa: Well, okay, Norbert here has been reading through your comments. It’s good to delegate some jobs, in my opinion.

She nods while miming her teddy bear shaking his head.

Melissa: So, now it’s time to address that big burning question about what happened between my mother and me. Well…

She goes quiet and grins.

Melissa: We’ve reconciled, to say the least. It’s amazing what talking things over can do, even the sort that happens off-camera. I’ve also been discussing things with my good friend Rebecca, and she agrees that we’ve all reached a point of stability in our lives. Turns out there wasn’t as much conflict and controversy as we thought they’d be.

She puts her teddy bear down and glances back up at the camera.

Melissa: So that means that this little venture, this vlog, this…

She cocks her head to the right and thinks.

Melissa: This something else beginning with “v”… is coming to an end. It’s been a good run—seven whole episodes, can you believe it! But we’ve had our fun and our laughs. We’ve taken our shot at Internet acting, and rather than burn out several months from now, we’ve decided to end things on a high note.

She reaches up and tugs at her pink hair. Both of Melissa’s hands tug at the hair until it comes off, revealing itself to be a wig. She sighs and shakes out her natural blond hair, then smiles into the camera again.

Melissa: Bet none of you saw this coming! Yeah, we were faking it all along. Most of it anyway. In real life, I am an Adult Baby, I do wear diapers, and this little critter on the floor is called Norbert, but that’s all.

She lifts her fingers up to make air quotes.

Melissa: “Rebecca” and “Mom” are just two great actresses that I’ve worked with in the past, doing some community theatre and being in the background for other online videos. Believe me, they had no problem at all dealing with the AB/DL community and that’s really what this blog was all about—highlighting who we are, what we like, and why we like it. Sometimes it’s fun, sometimes it’s not, but it’s who were are and we make no apologies for it.

She tosses the wig over her shoulder and smiles.

Melissa: Anyway, I hope we did our job to inform and entertain you, and if you didn’t, well, we’re honestly sorry about that. But they’ll be others out there who’ll do the same, if not better. So, to sum up, thanks for your support for the Adult Baby and Diaper Lover community, thanks for your questions and comments—both good and bad—and thanks for watching! You guys rock!
