Why Disposables

Just wonder why most the AB and parents of them use disposable diapers

Cloth is so much better for the planet and cheaper as you just need to wash and ware.

Because, thats what I grew up around, thats what babies were wearing during my development as a AB. Simples :P. I like cloth, but its just not the same as a nice dispoible really. They both feel totatly different when wet.

I remember my mom used to put me in cloth diapers, but now as an adult baby I just prefer disposable. I love the feeling and the smell of disposables! I guess that's what I got used to wearing. I would wear cloth if I had some.

for many people when they think baby diaper they think disposable, and if you are going to engage in this you want it to be as close to your fantasy as possible.

for some cloth is just unrealistic because of the living situation their laundry is mixed with others in the household or they share a room etc...etc... where a disposable can just be put in a black bag and thrown out.

for many parents of actual children/babies, disposables are convienent and if you do not have a washer / dryer in your own home then its a lot to have to get in your car, drive to the laundry mat, wait there while your clothes are washing and drying, then drive back home. Its a waste of time and gas money to have to make that many more trips because of disposables.

for me, disposable diapers with the plastic crinkling back are the prop i like to use when engaging in my ab fetish behavior, cloth to me do not feel like diapers and it does not excite me in any way to wear them.

I like the smell and feel. Especially when wet. It's very nice to be able to wear, wet, bag up and throw out instead of doing laundry. This is going to sound really bad, but I don't care about the environment. I'll be dead before any big impact happens most likely. Just my 2 cents.

I was in disposables as a kid, that's what i think of when i think "diaper"

plus underwear is made of cloth.........ewwwwwwww

i wore disposables as a kid too. they were cheap and convenient. Like most people my age didn't wear cloth most of us wore pampers or huggies.

I prefer cloth diapers, yet lately I spend more of my waking hours in disposables than in cloth. On my leakier days even my thickest cloth diaper will need changing  Since that's usually when I'm at work, disposables are easier to deal with :) They are faster to change and you don't have to save anything afterward. Disposables can be more discreet with the thinnest ones being easy to hide under clothing, while none of my cloth diapers hide nearly as well  When I began to allow myself thoughts of being diapered it was in Pampers, the really old square ones with one tape per side, no elastic, and a baggy butt with exposed folds in the diaper  I probably didn't wear these as a child, but they are the ones I remember seeing growing up. There's still a similar diaper available with equal usefulness (almost none) so when nostalgia strikes me next time I may get a few just for the giggles ;) That's another plus for disposables- there are more variations that with cloth- but the experience of a cloth diaper is unmatchable by a disposable. I'm glad to have all the options open to me and I enjoy that immensely. I can wear what I want to when I want to for the most part and that's about as good as it gets :P

I understand that disposables date back to 1949. The originals were in essence paper towels folded into a kind of plastic panty. They were for special purposes and not ment tobe used all the time. They have their uses. Nowever, an AB over 45 would not be inclined to use them ordinarily since they would not fit the scene. For one thing, they do not feel right. Also babies did not feel the need to conceal nor was the convenience an issue for the overwhelming majority of the time

I got some kind of pad that could be used as such. They are pads with waterproof covering and absorbant interiors. They are about 36x21 and can be unfolded to something diaper-sized. These would make very good diapers for the purpose, like early Pampers, What I need to find is fastening tape.

These early "pampers" or even earlier style still require rubber panties

From what I can find, there was an earlier kind made by Playtex called Dryper in about 1958. At the time, I did not know thaey were disposable. They were inserted in a speciall panty.

Because they're cute and they crinkle and they're purple and they're supercute and Puddin' says you should wear them, so you should ♥

For me it is what I prefer. I grew up with disposables and for me I do not like the big bulk of cloth that it would take to get me through a night of sleeping. I love the crinkle sound of the disposable and i am much more content in disposables.

I am fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to remember being changed as a toddler and do not even remember noticing the bulk. It only became a matter when I was treated as a little girl at nearly age 7 but I had no choice in the matter since Mrs. Rocque did not want Linda and me using the bathroom except to poop every hour for the 4 hours of the afternoon

I will admit that I am very picky about things, food, diapers and so much more. I do wear cloth to bed but over a disposable. My husband/daddy made me a wonderful bloomer style diaper that I pull on over my Bambino or whatever diaper I choose for bedtime. For me it is absolutely perfect. It has the cloth to protect against the side leaks and provides the added protection I need without adding to the bulk.

As everyone else has said, I grew up in disposables & Ive never been keen on cloth at all

crinkly plastic nappies rule :D

Agree. you do not have all the diaper wash.

I prefer disposable because of the ease of disposable. At the moment, I don't have the ability to wash cloth diapers, nor do I have the free cash to purchase all the required supplies. So disposables it is for me.

i use both disposables and cloth. when i'm at work disposables are much easier to deal with. when i'm home i use cloth most of the time the cloth diaper(s) are over a disposable. i am incon and do have some #2 accidents and cloth diapers are a pain to clean up after that but a disposable is easy as you just toss it in a bag and in the trash. i love the feel of both and wear plastic pants with both to hide any leaks. i have been incon for almost 12 years now and have had to learn what works for me. i also learned early on to either love being in diapers or live my life hating them. i think i made the right choice to love them. now if only i could find the right girl be in my life that could share in my interests life would be worth living.

To me, cloth diapers are basically no different from standard underwear. They just don't have that "feel" to them that disposables have.

most people forget or dont know that fresh water is in fact rare and limited in supply and that washing diapers wastes a alot.... just dont asume since you dont throw it away it dosent have a global impact.... disp diapers are being recyled and and they in fact DO degrade... so use what you need to to and no more what ever you choose but please dont say one is better than another for any reason....

Britain's Environment Agency recently discovered that, believe it or not, disposable diapers ("nappies" as they're called across the pond) have a slightly smaller carbon footprint than washable ones — 550 kg versus 570 kg (1,212 versus 1,256 pounds) of carbon-dioxide equivalents over two and a half years of use.

According to agency spokesman Farooq Mulla, it all depends on how you wash and dry the reusable diapers.

"Using reusables and washing them at 90 degrees Celsius [194 degrees Fahrenheit] with detergents in a half load with tumble drying can be overall more damaging in terms of the carbon footprint than using disposables," he explained.

Doing so constantly would boost the carbon footprint of washable cloth diapers to a whopping 990 kg of carbon-dioxide equivalents, nearly twice that of the bag-and-toss kind.

i grew up off cloth. I like disposables. to me they feel better and honestly they are just more conveniant for me. When im home sure cloth why not? But otherwise i prefer the disposables

I never wore cloth diapers and I think I never will.

Why wash something if you can through it away and get a new nice smelling one out of the package?

I love the conveinence and the feel and they hold up quite well also.
