All right, I'm not sure whether to post this here or in the tech support forum, but I'd like to propose several public sub-forums for the "Just Diapers" forum to replace the pinned threads. Let me explain why:
As it stands, we have "pinned" threads for various brands of diapers in the "just diapers" forum. These brands include Pampers, Huggies, Tena, and a slew of others. In addition, some brands, such as Huggies, also lump in the discussion of Pull-Ups brand training pants and the Goodnites brand. The "pinned" threads are several pages long, and don't really seem to have a consistent "theme" to them, for lack of a better term. One post might be discussing Huggies "Pure & Natural" Diapers, and the next could be discussing Goodnites, and the value of these threads is ultimately lost in the clutter that they create.
My proposal/request is simple: Instead of having pinned threads that generally lack any form of continuity or ability for one to easily follow them, I suggest that the "pinned" threads be replaced with public sub-forums. For those not in the know, "sub-forums" are essentially a "forum within a forum." For example, instead of having a Huggies thread in the "Just Diapers" forum, there would be a "Huggies" forum within the "Just Diapers" forum, which could have individual posts pertaining to Huggies Diapers. If the "Huggies" forum is going to be used for Pull-Ups and Goodnites the way the pinned thread is, perhaps Depends should be added to the forum, and it should be renamed the "Kimberly-Clark Worldwide" sub-forum. Likewise, the "Pampers" sub-forum would become the "Proctor & Gamble" sub-forum and so on. If we wanted to keep the adult and baby product lines separate, "Kimberly-Clark Worldwide (Child)" and "Kimberly-Clark Worldwide (Adult) sub-forums could be created, and similar steps could be taken for Proctor & Gamble and other companies that manufacture products for both adults and children.
Sub-forums in the "just diapers" forum would make it much easier to follow the information that's currently in the "pinned" topics. For example, if new Goodnites are released, that could receive its own thread in the proper sub-forum, rather than being lumped into the "pinned" Huggies thread. Likewise, if Proctor & Gamble releases new Pampers diapers, those would be discussed in their own thread in the appropriate sub-forum, and it would be easier for people to follow.
This is just a proposal, but I really think that Di should consider it; the "pinned" threads would be good if they were used for something more specific, for example, the launch of a new product. Again, I'm not asking for a private forum or anything, I just want to make the "Just Diapers" forum a little easier for all of us to follow.

I think it would add too many forums, theres already a ton of forums on here, and more would just confuse matters further, and wouldn't see hardly any traffic.
The pinned topics serve well for "general" discussion on brands, whilst any specific questions usually get posted in their own seperate topic.

What is all this fussin and fighting on about?
It's not only you that has got something on your mind.
Maybe we should sit down and have a sensible conversation,
You point your finger at me, and I point my finger at you.

Subforums wouldn't help
Unless you're a "sub" maybe
The problem is that posters go off topic and threads get hijacked, and that would still happen with subforums
Strict moderation would fix the problem- as it made people unhappy when they took a comparison post too far and their post got moved or deleted
Without happy people the forums would be less fun- which would leave less people and even less fun
It's not bad the way it is now so leave well enough alone- I'd rather deal with the current problem than suffer even worse from the proper (or even an improper) solution

I think adding all of those sub-forums would make it rather cluttered. As it is, there are two threads I can think of that can be merged.

I just thought of a subforum idea for the "Our Lifestyle" section: a forum that deals with just recommendations on products such as pacifiers, sippy cups, and onesies......going off three topics i can pick off the top of my head that are on the front page
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice....If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice....You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill....I will choose a path that's clear...I will choose freewill.
