Going to the beach

Recommended Posts

I'd like to hear others' tricks and methods, as well as advice how to best manage diapers during a beach vacation.

Here is what I am doing right now: when going to the beach I keep my diaper on under my swim trunks. Once at the beach I remove my diaper in a bathroom or behind a car. From that point on I just dribble and gush out of my swim trunks. That's ok because I am the type to be in the water all the time anyways.

More difficult is the time afterward. What I have found to work best is to use a pad that I can quickly insert into my swim trunks. Or, if I get a chance to change somewhere discrete, I put on a proper diaper again. The situation for which I have not found a solution yet is when I change into my regular clothes while having a towel wrapped around my waist. There's sand everywhere and kids watching. It's hard to sneak a pad in under a towel. Maybe that's here training pants would come in handy. Hm.

Ideas?

(Not sure how responding to my own thread is perceived, but here goes...)

On my next trip to the beach I will bring Abena pads, something like a size 7. I expect them to be easier to insert after I come out of the water. They should fit nicely into my swim trunks and Gould last until I get to shower and change into a diaper.

Otherwise the trip is going well.

I wore at the beach a few years ago. It was cold water, too cold to get deep enough where I would get my diaper wet. I would wear a pair of linen pants over my trunks and when we got set up I would then take those off and just hang out in my trunks and diaper. I was comfortable walking around and wetting and never got too puffed up. I wore Bambino Teddys underneath but these are so absorbent that I didn't change in the afternoon while at the beach. It wasn't noticeable at all to anybody else around, and my shorts came up far enough that I removed my t-shirt a little bit (not really a "tanner" here).

Oh - I wanted to add - I was comfortable wearing both a pair of board shorts one day and a pair of trunks with the mesh liner another day. It really wasn't a big deal, even when I wet and the diaper got bigger. I wish you luck in figuring out how to have fun after getting in the water.

I wear a black bikini, and as soon as I can, I get diapered again. However, I am normally only in swim wear when I am at a friends house who has a pool, and she already knows I wear. When we are on the ocean, we are playing on our sail boat, so I normally have little need to worry about getting wet there and not having a place to change, and if I am worrying about it, then it is low on the list of things to worry about as our boat has sunk.

I live in Jacksonville FL, and have been to the beach, plenty of times, wearing only a diaper. Yes I do get plenty of stares and even a few comments, but a diaper covers more than a speedo does so the issue of over exposure is non existent really. And just to confirm, the beach cops do not seem to care in the least, and have never said anything to me about it.

It's more about local laws, which vary. Each place will have different interpretation of what 'lewdness' is and how laws regarding it are to be enforced. There is no one single answer that applies everywhere except that it's best to seek an answer where you're going to be ahead of time regarding legalities ;) It sure beats calling a bondsman to throw your bail <_<

I've always had simmilar concerns . If with family that knows about my need for a diaper it's no big deal. But I've kinda avoided water parks and beaches with others cuz iof that time after . What Id do before is just wait to put on my swimming trunks . When I go to bathroom to change into em I take my diaper off . Only bad thing is since I still wet I could still get seen .. I've thought of going to a nude beach before. There's one not far that seemed accepting of my disabilities . Just figure I'd leave my diaper or a pad or yowl under me but not covered as clothing isn't allowed . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not a nude beach, but I have gone to the beach in just my diaper. Yes I do get the occasional stares, but nobody really ever says anything (including the beach cops).

A long time ago I did get one guy ask me about it. I told him I was incontinent and needed them, and that a diaper covers me up more than that guy with a speedo on (pointed to a near by person who really should have been covered up more). I asked him if my diaper makes him uncomfortable then why doesn't that? He walked away.

Not sure I agree in wearing a diaper on a beach, I think it's wrong to subject people to seeing your piss in gel form through a sheet of plastic.

Younger people are different, we are adults and should cover up where applicable.

When I'm away on holiday usually wear a pad in net pants. I can use a towel to cover up and slip the pad out before swimming or beach and when I'm done I just go to the toilet and put a new pad in.

Net pants dry really quick too and pack down to nothing.

I hope the OP has a nice time a the beach.

If it's a nudist beech then no probs to show willys and fannys. I'm sure you must agree that in most countries peeing in public is against the law and it's good to be comfortable with you diapers, I'm inco too and comfortable but where possible, cover up to a level that matches the general public around you.

I can't stand people or Brits abroad walking into shops half naked, just doesn't look good. And if your visiting another country use your common sense and respect their local traditions and dress codes.
