  1. For the past few weeks, I have been staying at my parents' house until the next college semester begins. I wear diapers pretty much 24/7, and have done an exceptionally surprising job of hiding my use from my family. One of the only times in any given day that I don't wear diapers is when I'm working out. This morning, that wasn't the case.
  2. My aunt and uncle kept my cousins in diapers at night because they were all bed-wetters for the longest time. I don't know how big their nighttime problems were in actuality, and now I realize that diapering them instead of employing other methods to control their issues probably reinforced their accidents and caused bigger problems in the long run. Instead of diapering us every night, my mom and dad made sure my brothers and I didn't have anything to drink within a few hours of going to bed and we all never wet the bed (bar a couple isolated incidents). My aunt and uncle never did that, and my cousins all wet the bed until they were practically preteens. I remember going to their house as a kid and becoming instantly jealous at bedtime when my aunt went room to room, making sure that all of her kids were diapered. She always put me on a pedestal too, saying, "Padded_Pondering doesn't wet the bed, and he doesn't need a diaper," whenever one of my cousins asked why I was different. It infuriated me because I wanted to wear diapers so bad. I used to fantasize at a young age about going to their house and having my aunt offer me a diaper. It drove me crazy. My youngest cousin just turned eleven and has ceased wearing diapers at night. The past couple of years he was wearing Pull-ups, and I admittedly snatched a couple before I was old enough to buy them myself. I'm not proud.
  3. Anybody else ever experience leakage when they are lying down in a Dry 24/7? It's a consistent problem for me and it's starting to sour my experience, especially because I wear often and I wear to bed. The past three mornings I've woken up with a small puddle on my bedding and I've had to wash it all. It could be because I diaper myself and I'm not too good at it, however I usually tape em' on pretty tight.
  4. I received my Dry 24/7s this morning and they are awesome. Thanks for the suggestion, I think this diaper was the right choice. I've been wearing one for a few hours now and its holding up exceptionally well and is much more comfortable and secure than any of the other diapers that I've worn before. I put it on and was chilling out in my room for a while, playing video games and studying, when I got a phone call and picked up some errands to run. It fit nicely under my clothes, and even when I was moving around in a quiet office, my khakis were more than enough to contain the crinkle which was pretty impressive.
  5. I think I'm probably going to go with the Dry 24/7s, they seem like the best option. What do you mean by "wrap you more?"
  6. I'll speek for myself when saying that I have found that diapers do help me sleep more comfortably, even though I'm not a bedwetter. Some other non-bedwetters say that diapers distract them from falling asleep, but that isn't the case for me. From the day I was born until last June I slept with my blankey everynight and I depended on the feeling of comfort and security it gave me. Once I moved out of my parents' place I was forced to leave it behind and my quality of sleep and ability to fall asleep sharply declined. Once I started putting a diaper on before bed my troubles disapeared. I also found that a good amount of exercise and eliminating caffeine, even in the morning, also helps.
  7. Thanks! I checked out their website and they looked awesome. It says that the material is thin, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, however I was wondering if you still get that puffy, baby like feeling? I was hoping to feel like I was being swaddled by a cloud, but that isn't a "must have." I know that to get there, brands like Bambino would be the way to go, but I don't really need to go that route to be happy and I have no delusions about the other, more practical brands.
  8. I posted on here not to long ago about wearing diapers while living in the dorms at my University. I started padding up shortly after, and my life has definitely improved ten fold. The only times that I don't wear diapers nowadays is when I'm exercising, working, or when a change isn't an option, like when I know my roommate will be around. I stick to Pull-up style because I mostly wet and wear for comfort. The discretion, convenience, and price are much appreciated perks in my situation. There are some things that I feel like I'm missing out on, like the ability to mess, and I 100% miss my blankey, but there has been a noticeable improvement in my sleep quality and my happiness since making the leap. The week after next we go on break for three weeks and I'm very excited. The problem is that I'll be stuck on campus for those first ten days after finals because of my job. This might be a big disapointment, however it also affords me some much wanted alone time to bump up my diaper wearing. I'm going home this weekend, before finals, and picking up my blankey from my house, and friday I plan on ordering some real diapers online to be sent to my dorm. I was wondering what the best brand for me to order would be. I live in the United States, so European brands are out the door, and I'm looking for the following qualities: discrete shipping, somewhat affordable price (I don't have a set budget, but I would like to get the most bang for my buck without going overboard), thick padding, good odor absorbsion, and preferably fast shipping (I'm ordering them friday and would like to have them no later than the 11th or 12th.) My RA said that only four people are staying in the whole building and that I'll be the only person on my floor, so disposal and clean up aren't an issue. Thank you very much, I love this board
  9. After I started this thread and tried doing it myself I've learned that with the right roommate, wearing diapers is easy in the dorms. It just takes a lot of care and a little bit of getting used to. No more chilling in just a diaper, AB/DL paraphernalia is very limited, and I would definitely be happier in my own apartment or back home. But it works nonetheless. Cheers!
  10. So I'm seeing that wearing in the dorms is definitely possible which is good. It sounds like you are in a pretty similar situation with your roommate, and she respects your space like mine does. I haven't considered changing in the stalls, and I think I'm just going to take care of that in the room when he's gone. I think using the public bathroom area is more risky than I'm comfortable with, however it could be an option if for some reason I need to get out of my diaper or change while he's here. As for my blankey, maybe it is possible. It seems to work for your boyfriend, but males can be pretty judgmental and weird about stuff like that. If he saw me snuggling it at night, he probably wouldn't say anything. He might think it was weird, and that would make me a little uncomfortable, so I don't really know if I'm willing to go that far just yet; even in the name of a good nights sleep. I do think that you're right, and sleeping without has made me pretty restless lately. I have a hard time slipping off to dream land and I average like four or five hours of rest a night, which isn't good because I'm pretty active during the day. Telling him that I need it to sleep better could be a viable excuse, but it wouldn't coincide with the tough-guy front I put up when I'm around other guys. There are too many "ifs" in that scenario that I have to consider before jumping in. Thank you very much for the feedback.
  11. I just moved up North, kind of close to Cincinnati. I'm not looking to meet up with anybody or anything (no offense), I'm just happy to know that there are other's nearby!
