I love that picture, it's so New England. If you are talking about the Eastern States Exposition then I've been there once with my dad. Lilrugrat and I went out for a ride today. She has a new job where she uses a company car to visit clients in our county and a neighboring County. We drove to the office in the neighboring County today so she would be confident in getting there to the office without getting lost and she would know when to leave to arrive on time. It gave us the opportunity to do some sightseeing while we were out. The office is a 45 minute drive from the local office but on the return trip we took a different route and ended up driving on gravel roads. It was so much fun. Our Explorer Sport Trac has a built in compass on the headliner console so we used it to navigate. We kept turning west and then south like stairsteps across two counties. We never once looked at Google maps 🙂. We forded creeks where they ran over low lying parts of the road and some roads where we wouldn't have been surprised to encounter a wagon train lol. I'm going to send you some more pictures to your email when I get the laptop out next. Hugs, Freta
  3. New Hampshire has no state or local sales taxes and no state income taxes on wages. It relies mostly on property taxes and a tax on business profits. There are also no private liquor stores in the state, they are owned by the state and all the profits go to the general fund. Beer and wine can be sold at supermarkets and convenience stores but the profit they make is taxed. There is also a tax on dividends and interest income. There are also rooms and meals taxes so eating out drinking in bars or staying in hotels also brings in a lot of out of state dollars. This is a truly genius system because every other state abuting NH has a high sales tax so pretty much everyone within easy driving distance to NH shops there. They drive there for grocery shopping and everything else. Because the state owns a monopoly on the liquor stores, they can undercut the prices of the stores in the surrounding states. When you factor in the savings on the price plus the savings on the sales tax it's a no Brainer. Also because the stores are owned by the state, they have huge liquor stores at rest areas on the major highways to make it convenient for tourists heading home to fill their trunk with bargain booze. I had seen an article online about states ranked in order of liquor consumption on a per capita basis and NH was near the top but the statistic is badly skewed because much of the sales go right out of state. Hugs, Freta

  5. I used to live in the next town over. She made two really bad mistakes here. The first was her website was set up to generate business and she originally advertised that there was a nearby park as a plus for staying there. Sorry, but that is just completely stupid on her part. Of course the town is going to protest, this is a fetish for these people and you advertise a local park where children play as being available. The second mistake is the location of the house itself. If you are unaware of the property values in NH go on zillow just for fun. You would be upset if the house you own is being taxed as a $700,000 home and a home down the street started running a business, any type of business and your house drops $100,000 in market value. There are no cheap houses in NH. There are lots of rural properties you could run a business like this at but not in the southern half of the state. Any business requires due diligence to be successful. She obviously didn't do any. Hugs, Freta

@~Brian~ that is soooo adorable, thank you. I wish I could give you the hug you need in person. Hang in there and know all your friends are hoping you feel better. Hugs, Freta
  7. Not frustrating here in Kansas. Big parade in Kansas City tomorrow and they said a week ago that if the Chiefs won KC schools would be canceled tomorrow. Hugs, Freta
  8. Parking for Taylor's jet seems to be getting a lot of attention but it's really much ado about nothing. She has a private jet with her own pilots. They can't park at the airport but it's no problem for them to land, drop her off at the private air terminal, refuel the jet if needed and then fly somewhere nearby like Reno and park there. With her money it's not even an inconvenience. Hugs, Freta
  9. @Little BabyDoll Christine I'm curious as to what your sexual preferences are? Are you Gay or maybe Bisexual? Hugs, Freta
  10. I put 10% for my answer. I always have to have it in mind because to be completely oblivious would be an invitation to leaks out in public. I tend to make a mental note occasionally on it's weight and whether I should take an opportunity to change it. I don't waste a lot of energy worrying about it every second. Hugs, Freta
  11. I pretty much buy one diaper type. It used to be Confidry 24/7 but now I use Betterdrys. Rather than use different diapers depending on the length of time I plan to be in it or the location I'm going to be wearing it at I use one diaper and just change it as needed. We seem to be polar opposites in diaper purchasing and use. I buy reasonably capable diapers at the lowest price point because at the end of the day I'm going to throw it away. If I change into a fresh diaper after getting up in the morning but I'm going out at noon and not returning until early evening, I'll change my diaper right before going out the door regardless of any unused capacity. I know the diaper I put on in the morning won't last until I get home in the evening so I change it strategically. You would tend to put on a Tranquility ATN in the morning faced with the same scenario expecting it to be at the very end of it's duty cycle when you change before leaving. There's no right or wrong way, we just see it differently. Hugs, Freta
  12. Go Cheifs !!!!!! They killed the Buffalo and had it for breakfast. They're wearing Eagle feathers in their war bonnets. Now they're getting ready to take their tomahawk and cut those niners down to size. 😛 Hugs, Freta
  13. For what it's worth, I think you're doing everything right. Firstly, you come here to a safe space to air your complaints and you have many friends that will support and commiserate with you, myself included. Secondly, like always you use humor in your post to lighten the mood of a subject that's not necessarily funny. Thirdly, you understand the change she is going through is unasked for and unwanted unlike your changes. You know it's not really you or your diapers but her inability to control the hormonal changes happening physically and mentally. As Yoda would say, deescalate you must to insure tranquility in the force. Hang in there, you have a lot of people in your corner. Hugs, Freta
  14. I donated blood on Monday and I complimented the technician on his needle work. I seriously could hardy feel the needle pierce the skin and they use a large Guage needle. Only too 5 minutes to get the pint. Hugs, Freta
