Little BabyDoll Christine
Gerber also made some baby panties from smooth material. I have some Link to comment
square_duck
To me the priva pants are cut all wrong and are to narrow in the crotch area and the leg holes aren't cut to face forward, to they would fit all wrong. The best fitting pants have a wider crotch, and forward facing legs to get a smoother fit and are wide in the seat area to help cover a (possibly) bulky diaper. Can't tell how these are cut by the pic, but they kind of remind me of the Gary pants in how the leg bands are located so low. A nice side rise is useful though for night time side sleepers but the legs should be forward facing to provide allowance for movement while walking etc, with out adding undo stress on the pants, which results in fatigue and tearing of the leg bands etc. But thats just me and my 2 ducats ....Nice to see new products coming out by people who wear and for people who wear! Keep up the good work! Also, I noticed the "eco earth friendly" tag...so are these made from the PEVA materials (IE Trashbag plastic = L*O*U*D) or the older 'real' vinyl (quiet) that pants 'used to' be made from??? DailyDi
The 2XL size I have in hand are 8.5" in the crotch and the leg holes are slightly forward, though not front-facing like the Garywear Active pants. I like a wide crotch so there's no gap between the pant and my inner leg/crotch (is there a name for that joint area lol) to allow for leaks. These fill that requirement nicely, and I'm wearing a size not meant for me so should be even roomier for the correctly-sized wearer Link to comment
square_duck
Notice how begging for donations has stopped since we started direct-selling? yeah, I imagine your knee pads were probably wearing out as well from all the groveling Also, the 'gap' you mentioned I guess would be Your inner thigh and the pant leg hole. It depends on how you wear the pants, some people seem to like to not pull the elastic up, but leave it around their lower thigh as you have in the pics. I prefer to tuck mine in by pulling the legs up higher around my upper thigh there by containing the diaper better and not having it in contact with the elastic, which helps avoid wicking and leaks...either way works I guess and to each their own, but having the leg elastic so low just bugs me, and they tend to pull when I walk or move. Tucking the elastics in allows for freeier movement and as said, seems to help in the leakage department...*shrug* Thats why I asked about the crotch width as well....a wide crotch helps contain or 'bag' the diaper as it sags, and keeps it away from the elastics which will wick and leak if / when they get wet... Little BabyDoll Christine
8.5" in the crotch for 2XL is awful narrow to me. I am not comfortable with less than 10.5 (Comco) What Duck was saying about wearing the panties up high is what I refer to as "Rennaissance pantaloons" because the panties tend to billow out. That is the classic early 1950's style of wearing them Most panties have longer sides than the width of the crotch. Gary is the other way around. Baby Brian
Anybody get these yet? What do you think? Just curious... I have. They ok for their price, but the top waist wasn't cut quite high enough to cover the back of my diaper, and the nylon which covers the elastic will wick pee to the outside- enough to leave a wet spot even if it otherwise contains any wetness/leaks. Other than that they do seem to mostly work, and are quite comfortable to wear. I was worried a large wouldn't fit my 34-36" waist, but the elastic (especially around my legs) was just right to be snug without cutting into my skin even after 8+ hours of wear. Link to comment
