So, for those of you who have read my works, you know 'Lights, Camera, ...What?!?' is the culmination of three books of Exchanged, Seems Too Good, In-Between, and its own story. I have amassed a huge collection of characters, and to keep track of them and the plot, I use a separate Word document that's up to 67 pages and 16,200 words. Not all of that is character info, but a lot of it is. Just on the ones that I've changed the 'heading' settings on, there are probably 60 characters actively being used in this book. A few people have asked me about a character document to reference. I obviously don't want to give spoilers, but I do know of a few authors who have used Wikis and such for their characters.
Does anyone have any suggestions of a good solution? I'd like to think I haven't gone full Leo Tolstoy War and Peace level here, but who knows? I've never counted if I've tried to outdo his 600 characters from that work! (And to be honest, I had to reference a cheat index with that one to keep track myself!)
I have my own ridiculous document... Haven't thought about a separate page or something for reference. I might give it some thought this weekend as it would be a non-creative task I could do if my muse misbehaves.
Thanks for continuing to comment! 🙂
I like the way you handled this here! I suspected we were looking at a AR virus type of story from the last couple chapters, always enjoy something in that genre that's well written. This one has a lot of potential! Looking forward to more! 🙂
