Repottytraining

I always see posts, questions, stories, about people working to unpottytrain or diapertrain themselves, so they need diapers. Whether this be bladder only, or both bladder and bowels, I've heard of varying amounts of success. My question is to those who have succeeded in making themselves need diapers whether that be for bedwetting, bladder control, or everything.

You'll find some mention of this in the "Incontinence Desires" forum. In general it seems that as with "Un-potty training", regaining bladder continence thereafter has a 70%-85% rate of good success, but it takes as much time and work to achieve or perhaps more :( There are enough people who couldn't regain bladder control to make that possibility a consideration before starting "un-potty training" Our search engine might give you some posts to look at but it's not too good so I expect you'll get more answers here, although it may take a week or three to catch up with most of those with this experience ;) Oh, and welcome to DD

Rainbow Kitten, I would not recommend attempting to unpotty train unless you have a damned good reason. In my case, I had a case of shy bladder which would not allow me to use a restroom unless I had enough privacy. I created an 8 point blladder gauge for urgency and used 'finding my hold' as a link. I also worked with my younger selves, who completely let go. They let go of my over-toilet-trained brain, I was finally able to use urinals (Praise God!) But there was an unintended side effect. I now have a mild case of urge incontinence. I have to wear male guards to catch spurting accidents. I can usually stop wetting before I leak, but not always. If I am in a safe place (at home, while driving, out hiking, late at night), it can be hard for me to make it to the bathroom in time. I feel like I am poddy twaining again, and I have had several accidents in the past month. My body gives me a warning, but I gotta go right now. I have zero interest in doing ANYTHING that can bring my shy bladder back. There are some medications for urge incontinence, but these can make it harder to urinate. My doc recommended trying to urinate every 2 hours, and ingest a normal rate of fluids, about 2 to 3 liters of water a day. My bladder will get used to being able to let go and give me warnings when I am 1/2 to 3/4 of the way full. Being urge incontinent and having to wear guards, and dealing with the occasional leak accident is mildly embarrassing. Yet having shy bladder is HELL. I do not mind being incontinent for a season. It's embarrassing, but it's for a good cause (Being free from shy bladder.) I have zero interest in using medication (the side effects can bring my SB back). I literally had to relearn how to control my bladder tension levels. I have been a pee mortal for about a month now, and have used up several "lives."
