Hi and welcome to DD. Nice to meet you, glad to have you join us. Come on in, grab a high chair. Lots of good likeminded people here. Relax, have fun, and enjoy!
Stephanie quickly assembled a plate with cut pieces and put it in front of the boy before giving him a spoon and a sippy cup. "Do you think he will need a bib?"
"Better be safe then sorry, I guess." Lydia agreed, seeing at how sleepy the boy still was and went to put one on him before she settled with her own plate and tucked in.
Understanding comes when you accept that others are also going through difficult times, regardless of what your own are like.
In the place where I work now, the next four weeks will be about collecting taxes by going to people's homes.
People are even trained for a day beforehand so that they don't get too emotionally involved.
Fortunately, that's not the case for me, as I don't see the people, just the tax cases.
Whether this is comparable to what you do, I don't know, as for reasons and by all rights you don't tell people what you do.
Nonetheless, we can both understand when people say that we're in for a tough few weeks.
And above all, you live in the USA. This means that your working week can be 60 hours, 6-7 days a week due to the lack of employee rights in the USA.
For me, it's a maximum of 40 hours over 5 days.
I'm digressing again.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that it won't be that bad.
