  1. Taco Bell doesn't fry the meat. It is steamed. What you saw the bag being lifted out of is a vat of water that is heated up. It evenly heats the meat in the bag, using the meats own natural juices to cook the meat on the inside. The grease you saw was actually the marinade and meet juices. They do not use lean meat though, so it is a pretty fatty meat.
  2. I ran a McDonald's. I was a family friend of the franchise honor, and he hired me on as the store manager in training, and then left me as the store manager. I was laid off when he sold the franchise, along with the rest of the management of the store. (They pretty much told us we could reapply if we want to, but they had there own people in mind. The store did close three months after they laid us all off. Funny what happens when you get rid of the people who know what they are doing.) Before that, I was a waitress, at Denny's then a Supervising Waitress at Coco's. and briefly a shift manager before I got the job at McDs.
  3. Because my water bill dropped in half from last month, which saves me more then I spent on diapers?

  5. Alissa looked down at be called a little sister, she was used to it, but she still hated it. "He was..." she meekly replied, heading towards the table to get her food out of the bag. The movie was almost to the let it go scene, and she did not want to miss that.
  6. I am going to be the mean person here.
  7. "Nope, not yet at least," Alissa said, taking the glass, and sitting back down in her bean bag chair. "I was thinking of just keeping my hours the way they are now, I mean we got enough to make us through the summer, and I think I need to actually relax for a change." Alissa knew it probably wasn't going to happen, she couldn't tell her manager no, and eventually she would be there full time again for the summer.
  8. Alissa sighed, then almost whispered, "Could you refill my juice then?" while holding her glass out. She didn't want to ask for help, but her sister was right, she should ask. It just made everyones life a little easier. Her expression changed slightly as the film started, and she saw the sing-a-long subtitles. Alissa suppressed a giggle. She didn't enjoy the film nearly as much as her sister thought she did, but she did enjoy teasing her sister by watching it, and singing to all the songs.
  9. "Like I'd be more then a snack," she said back, giggling. She quickly put in the orders on her phone, grabbed her juice and finished it off, before heading towards the kitchen to get a refill. She made it to the kitchen before she realized she needed her stool, and turned around and went back into the living room, "Sissy, this weekend, can we put the crisper at the top like I keep asking so I can actually reach my stuff?"
  10. "So... no to the pizza then... and sure, why not watch Frozen again! We can even do the sing a long version," Alissa said, smiling. She knew she was being teased, but she learned a long time to just roll with it. Normally deflated peoples sails, and avoided conflict. Net win for Alissa. "We can try a different take out place?" Alissa offered, pulling out her phone and bringing up her food delivery app. "Want some Applebees?" she asked, climbing out of the bean bag chair, and walking over to the movie cabinet. She pulled out Frozen, and tossed it to her sister. Alissa did not want to pull the stool over to get to the blu-ray player. Why her parents had to place it on top of the ginormous TV stand was beyond her.
  11. "So glad it is over. Did I say I hate finals before?" Alissa said, pulling her sweater off, revealing the Elsa and Anna shirt she had bought at Target a few days ago. It was on sale, and one of the least kiddy shirts she could find in that sale, and at least liking Disney stuff was 'normal' for adults. Alissa was always walking that balance of trying to look like an adult when the only clothes she could really afford were found in the kids sections of stores. She never understood why petite clothes in her size were so bloody expensive. They used a lot less fabric after all.
  12. "It's fine sissy," Alissa said, as she leaned the stool against the wall, and walked over to the beanbag chair she had bought. Unlike the couch, when she sat on the beanbag chair, her feet could actually touch the ground. Of course, she normally just curled into the chair, so it was really moot, but it was a principle thing to her. She pulled out her phone as she placed the juice on the table next to her, and then looked up to ask, "How was your day Maiya?"
