dudewheresmyname321
Hey all, I've had a pretty weird mystery illness over the past few years. I pass out very easily, even while laying down or sleeping (only like 10 documented cases in the us), I'm addition to pain, soreness, hotness and sudden weakness. Last week, I could feel my left hand just loose strength. I could barely hold my phone. Thankfully, it passed in an hour. However, I've noticed more bladder and bowel struggles these past few weeks as I'm trying to lower my medicines. Every couple days, my bladder feels like it locks up and won't let me use the toilet. It's like I have a split second to decide weather or not to pee wherever I am or hold it and risk passing out. Yesterday, I got off the bus, and instantly a cramp hit. I felt hot, sweaty and new I was seconds from passing out...so I mad a judgment call that messing my brand new underwear and pants than collapsing on the sidewalk. I worry that incidents like that are getting worse. Doctors don't think this kind of neuropathy is progressive, but it does affect your continence in some cases. Have any of you suffered from incontinence due to a neuropathy. Link to comment
Baby Brian
Not from neuropathy, but definitely neurogenic. I got into a bad car wreck and have had urge incontinence ever since. I also have a neurogenic blockage that prevents me from being able to go when those urges hit. In 18 or so years, not a single doctor has been able to find anything "physically" wrong with me. The brain can do strange things, and sometimes the body does what it wants to. We just have to learn to adapt as best as we can with the problems we have. Link to comment

I'm not totally incontinent but I do have accidents and wet the bed because of it. Diapers have been a god send for me, and I've grown to love them. Link to comment

twospirit
I have fibro neuropathy (sever), diabetic neuropathy (sever), uncontrolled diabetic, 2 minor strokes, celiac disease, 7 heart attacks and still kicking butt. It sucks when you finally have to come to terms with everything and become incontinent(both) on a 24/7 basis along with falling, tripping, dizziness and many host of other problems.I can so feel for others who are either in the same boat or like myself just starting on this path that life has dealt us. I on the other hand after many a nights crying keeping things to myself even from my friends and Husband who I should have been able to feel comfortable telling, but I wasn't. So hear I am telling my story and feeling for others and it is hope that somehow can give back to others. Right now as I finally have come to terms with my condition, I choose to live my life to it's fullest diapers and all. I not ready for the pasture just yet and even though we all have some sort of medical condition don't let that stop you. Remember life is for the living so deal with it and get going we only live once so make the best of it. Link to comment
