Goodnites as inserts?

Recommended Posts

I found out that I could fit into the XL goodnights too. And I use them as inserts too but I wasn't hesitated to cut holes in them on the outer side and I didn't have any problems doing so or when I did a number one in it. It leaked through to the next diaper like it should. Cut holes in it, put on a taped adult diaper over it and your good to go!

At night I use them as inserts, sides ripped apart, inside a cheaper diaper. It saves money and works through the night

What they said. Unless the thing actually burst, you shouldn't get any SAP floating around, that being if you don't flood the thing after the whole goodnite and diaper have reached max. Note not to poke large holes into it, but not too small either or the SAP will clog the holes. Should be the same as a baby diaper stuffer as they actually are just a different version of the same. :)

Okay I'm sorry for requiring the clarification - but do you poke holes that go all the way through the goodnite, or do you poke holes that just penetrate the outer portion (and thus do not follow all the way through to the inside)?

I used to use Goodnites as a stuffer all the time for bedtime and situations where I needed more absorbancy (long car trips, air travel, etc.) or just for kicks, lol. I would use a knife to cut small slits in the outer cover, and they worked great. Now I use TotalDry Ultimate boosters, which work totally awesome, and just stick to the inside of your diaper with an adhesive strip.

What I do is open the adult diaper from the back like a potato chip bag, and stick my hand down to lightly scrape off any fluff off the outer plastic. Then I take the stuffer and cut off any stretchy parts so it lays flat, and then slide that inside. This way you can see the prints on the stuff from the outside, and you get all the absorbency of both the adult diaper and the baby diaper (with no holes, it will hold more.

Hm. That might take some skill, I don't think I could pull that off at the moment. On top of that I use cloth backed diapers and I'm not sure if the print on the stuffer would show through, plus I can kinda draw on the cloth-like material of my diaper and sometimes I enjoy drawing on it =p. But I'll keep it in mind.

That does work, carefully slitting the back lining of the adult diaper at the top and inserting a stuffer down inside the adult diaper behind the padding and next to the plastic backing and then gluing the lining back in place.
