mage12, i have talked to a doctor about

incontinance and she said that even babies

know when they are using their diapers.

they get a "full" sensation, then their

bladder and/or sphincter muscle relaxes,

and the contents are released into the diaper.

if this kind of incontinace is what you seek,

then you are already well on your way.

keep wearing and using your diapers constantly

and gradually you will loose the ability to hold

it like a potty trained person. this way, two

positive things happen, you are incontinant as

you currently wish to have happen. and if you

should change your mind in a few years, you

could re-potty train yourself with some help

within a year.

I have to agree with babybrian1973

When I was 18 I also wanted to become urinary incontinent, I did all the research, and even tried hypnosis with out any luck. The best thing you can do is just wear your diapers 24/7 useing it to relive your bladder into each and every time you get the slitest feeling of needing to go and after a year or so you will find yourself wetting our diapers without any control. Oh you will know when you are peeing, you just will little if any ability to stop yourself from going.

From what I have read this is what you want, and you can achieve it with time, it will not happen over night, and the best thing is you will beable to repotty train yourself latter in life.

I know first hand that this method works, it is how I did it. I now wear diapers 24/7/365 due to the frequent emptying of my bladder and must wear some form of protection, be it a diaper or pull-up.

Now as far as wearing diapers affecting your faimly life, friends, and social gatherings. IT WILL no matter how much you want to deny it, it will happen. How you might ask, well you will be overloked when invatations are sent out, ( no one wants the diaper guy wetting on thier furniture) not even family, you will be over looked for that on the job promotion ( who would want a diapered person in charge of the unit) and you will also find it hard to get a job as very few companys will hire someone known to wear diapers even for medical reason. (even though they claim they do not discrimanaite). How do I know this? I've been there.

Would I go back and change my wanting to become diaper dependit at the age of 18 if I could. No!

The only thing I would change is I would hide my diapered condition from anyone, as that is where I belive most of the troubles liveing a diapered life began for me.

Icefisherman, your thread was merged with another about an 18 year old wanting to be incontinent. It is mage12 who unlike you doesn't have any type of incontinence already. So some of the recent replies that have been quite negative were meant for him, and not for you. So it is actually you that hasn't read it properly, and not everyone else. There is no need for you to go.

Me thinks Icefisherman is just a tad upset: but Hey dude, please don't get un-nerved over the feeback you were getting....you're still young and that you have alot to experience in life before making a major commitment/lifestyle change of what you are trying to seek...Take a bit of advice from some of the others, & myself who have made a mistake at a young age. Stick around and enjoy the DL life style, you don't have to be incontinent to enjoy, wear & use your diapers 24/7. (and if you do contiinue to wear & use, given time eventually you will achieve your goal; it doesn't happen overnight)

A lot of misunderstanding seems to have occurred because 2 threads with similar titles were merged into one a couple of days ago, and the result is confusing and difficult to follow. The titles were similar, but there the similarity ends.

Please don't leave because of what appears to be an unfortunate and unintentional mistake icefisherman. If you send a private message to BabyRosie I'm sure it will be sorted out.

Regards, D :) lly

umm, icefisherman, many of us DO read...you do understand thet there are two threads mixed here, and half the advice given applies to the other person who wants to become incontinent, no?

Anyway, for icefisherman, I suggest that you talk to your Dr about this rather painful urination you've been having.....it sounds like no fun at all....

An option you should ask him about is catheterization...whether a foley or a clean intermittent one...in your case, a catheter makes a lot of sense, PROVIDED it is sterile...there are a number of places to get one on the internet, and your Dr should be able to instruct you...as well as provide drugs, such as belladonna(brand name Levsin), which help with the situation. If your doctor won't have that conversation, you need a new doctor...

I DO NOT support making your own catheter...even if you have an autoclave and know how to use it...

You might also want to consider a botox injection into the sphincter, which would leave you dripping, but hopefully not having bladder spasms...again, talk to you Dr about your options first...as if you can use a drug to relax the bladder and retain some control, that is probably better.

i have to be brutally honest here im not buying this for one second.

first off the self harm to make himself incontinent and then the 'im dying' statements when the feedback is all negative.

then the anger when people wont help, if i were dying i certainly wouldnt be wasting my time trying to make myself incontinent i mean whats the point and if he's dying anyway of a terrible lung disorder the chances are he'd become bedridden eventually and get his wish.

sorry but something smells bad here and its not my diaper

This is completely ludicrous. If you want to wear nappies then I encourage you to wear them and enjoy using them whenever you want, as soon as the urge hits you, if you like them that much then wear them all the time, that's perfectly fine.

You won't cause irreparable damage to your body that way, and you'll become continent just as quickly as you became incontinent if the situation demands it.

I have severe urge incontinence due to a childhood spinal injury and have had to endure it all my life. As it happens, I have come to enjoy it, probably as some sort of subconscious coping mechanism. Every single day is complicated by the fact that I am going to need to change at some point, every night I wonder if I'll wake up in a pool of my own urine because I'm a side sleeper (and before anyone says it, cloth isn't really practical every night in a fast paced world, especially since you can't really machine dry them).

I see a high-priced continence specialist every couple of months to see if there is anything that can be done to fix this, any clinical trial, any new drug, but usually get told the same thing. No, not for your condition, those severed nerves are deep within the spinal column and you risk paraplegia if anyone were to operate on them to try and reconnect them, even using micro-surgical robots). Now this is the state of affairs for me, I live in a country with one of the the best socialized healthcare systems in the world, a great research base (we invented the bionic ear) plus I have the best possible private insurance and furthermore am willing to pay a LOT of money out of my own pocket if something cold be done.

Now just think about that. Every time you get on an airplane, stay in a hotel room, sleep at your girlfriend's house. These are probably NOT things you want to NEED to be in diapers for (and believe me, none of them are perfect, you WILL leak at some point). Every time you go out, every time you go to the Gym, the Pool or the Beach. I know that sometimes people imagine it to be a form of freedom. Believe me, it's not. From childhood, i've needed to learn strategies to cope with wearing nappies full-time without causing too much interruption to those around me. In my case, it's not a secret that I wear nappies, but it's still a massive inconvenience at times.

If you have control and like wearing nappies for convenience, comfort or whatever reason, just enjoy relinquishing that control and enjoying the sensations of it. If you want to do it all day every day, then you've got all the benefits of someone who is incontinent, you can even say you're incontinent, nobody can disprove it. But to intentionally damage your body in pursuit of a disability strikes me as insane and morally wrong.

I've never heard of someone wanting to have two perfectly healthy legs amputated so they can spend the rest of their life in a wheelchair.

Why such a passionate and useful post to a thread that hasn’t had a post in 10 years?

There are many people out there that wish to be disabled. It’s a real desire just like AB/DLs want to wear diapers. In fact if the desire is so strong that a person is deemed a danger to themselves, doctors will perform the desired amputations in order to keep the patient from harming themselves. Those are extreme cases, but they do exist.
