Anyone Ever Felt Sick?

Recommended Posts

Being a writer myself, I do in fact have moments where I'll be working on something and think to myself, "Wait..why am I even doing this? What would (insert friend or family member's name here) say?"

Sometimes our stories are how we get to dump the thoughts that run around in our head. We write them and they are finally out. That doesn't mean we should sometimes write it and then delete it. It can be very therapeutic just to write down the things that worry us or upset us and then forget them.

Believe it or not, you can have a wild fantasy, write about it, and still live a perfectly normal life. I do. I have five infantilism novels published and a book on sewing little girl clothes for adults. Yet I have a semi-professional job as a librarian assistant, I'm the secretary/treasurer for our Union, I work with young children and am on a Service Team within that organization. Although one of my (secret) hobbies is making little girl clothes, I'm also a hobbyist carpenter, home remodeler, I work on cars, do plumbing and electrical repairs and love working on cars, My AB/DL side is part of my life, but in no way does it--or what I write--make me feel "sick." If you've ever read any of Stephen King's books, you might wonder his level of sanity as well. But he is a very successful and admired author. Hope that makes you feel a bit more normal. And please don't give up writing. Learn to accept it as a part of who you are.

Ha, you should read his dark tower series then.
