kumagoro11
So I decided back over the summer after having some issues with my underwear constantly being stained that I would make the leap and go 24/7. Already being an AB and issues with IBS, I decided that I'm going to commit to being in diapers all the time. I also suffer from 1 Link to comment

Guest Diaperdragon
Diapers in the summer time is great, you can wear them as shorts and i have done it on many occasions Link to comment
Bettypooh
Congrats on your progress While I wear 24/7 I also use the toilet when I can. I've not found summertime wearing to be a problem except that it tends to make me more susceptible to rashes so whenever I can I will add a mid-day cleaning in addition to my usual morning and evening shower routine. Here in the sunny south it can get stifling hot but I've been here so long that I'm kind of used to it. I have found other summertime other issues though- I perspire a lot and that happens down there too, so part of my diaper capacity is taken by sweat And since I also drink a lot more water in the summer I wet more, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it I love being wet but at work I use the toilet too so my pull-ups will last the day without a change. Cloth-backed disposables are more comfy in the summer but they do worse with odor- and urine odor is worse when you're dehydrated. Caffeine hurts you there too so I have to cut back on coffee in the heat For me it's maintaining a hydration balance. Link to comment

kumagoro11
Baby Brian and Bettypooh - Thanks for the tips. I wonder how hot it will be with the plastic pants since I use cloth usually through out the day and night unless it is the weekends. Link to comment
kumagoro11
A long time coming update, lol. So as you may already know, summer is now officially over (although I must admit, it is still stinking hot over here on the east coast this week). Disposables are definitely hotter to wear in the heat but cloth will smell quicker once it becomes damp (duh, lol). 1 Link to comment

Inconito
wow please share experiences - like what to do and not to do i.e. how did you for example train and getting into the habit of staying relaxed all the time Link to comment
kumagoro11
@Inconito I'll try to put more stuff together for more sharing experiences soon. The one thing I started was to never stop or slow the flow once it started and by just doing that over and over again it starts the process of keeping things relaxed down there because that squeezing feeling is those muscles stopping you from going right then and there. I still drink a lot during the day for more than just keeping stuff passing through, drinking more keeps the urine smell down. But you'll notice you're on the right path when you start going like instantly after drinking something (like 10-20 mins) but you won't leak. When you first start, you'll notice you flood a lot, which can easily cause leaks. But around where I am now you'll notice that you don't need to change as quick because you're giving your diapers enough time to wick (if you wear cloth that is). Link to comment
Creepymouse
While I agree that is ONE form of incontinence which can come of long-term diaper use, the form that many of us attempt to achieve through the 12 month program and similar training regimens is more of a mental/subconscious retraining. Handing the external (voluntary) sphincter back to involuntary control, in effect learning a NEW habit wherein we choose not to control voiding, to replace the habit of toilet training. In that scenario, the bladder shrinkage would be a side effect, and weakening of the external sphincter would not necessarily be the goal. Link to comment
kumagoro11
So just a quick update, I'm about ready to approach the 2 year mark in just over a months time. About a few weeks ago I came down with I can only describe as a summer flu and wow, talk about being incontinent. I was trying to keep myself hydrated since every time pretty much passes right through and I could not if my life depended on it stop the flow. I could pee upside down if I wanted to (but didn't, horrible headache). I will say it was a small nightmare trying to make sure I had enough protection to last me around the clock for the 72 hours I was pretty much bed ridden. But besides the fever, the body aches, and just feeling lousy, it was an amazing experience. 2 Link to comment

kumagoro11
As for erections, they are much shorter and not as often. In the morning an erection may last only a minute or two where before they could last a lot longer. I was before this a shower as my length was around 4-5" ish before becoming fully erect. Now, I am totally a grower, for the most part I'm at 2 1/2 - 3" before becoming erect. I'm sure there are a few factors at play here, one is definitely the loose PC muscles, another would be in diapers all the time, where I don't get time to stretch. 2 Link to comment
Inconito
@kumagoro11 Thanks for the advices. To answer short...I started out as a DL, however, now hen I put on a fresh diaper I never have any erections....like I said I have been in diapers full time now for more than 8 months. Diapers have become the new normal. I don't own one single piece of "normal" underwear anymore, only mesh pants and onesies to support / conceal my diaper. So diapers are my underwear and as I have said elsewhere, for life. Link to comment

Bettypooh
Congrats on a successful journey I did take note of a thing or two which has been different with me. I never had trouble peeing while walking although at first it took an intentional start or had to be from an over-full bladder Now it just happens when it happens- sometimes I notice it and sometimes I don't but you hit the bulls-eye with never holding back as one time of that will ruin a hundred times where you didn't And early on I decided that it didn't matter if my diapers leaked or not; if I wanted to avoid that I'd just change as needed which kept me clear of any negative feelings or worries in that regard. A few times a year it happens- so what? Just like I wear diapers- so what? I truly do not allow anyone elses opinions enter into this I'm still on my journey and not sure where it will lead to. I'm effectively incontinent while awake though I wake to pee at night (in my diaper of course). Early one my dream was to be a bedwetter but that is the one thing I have emotional reservations over. It's nice how it is tight now but if I do lose nighttime control I won't care. And if I had to narrow it all down to one piece of advice for those on those path I think I'd say that success will come when you no longer care too. Let it go and it will go away eventually; the more you think about it the longer the journey will take. Link to comment
stevewet
I coudn't agre emore why worry what others think. You only get one life and if you are not hurting anyone then live it as you please. Becoming incontinent and a nightly bedwetter was such a good thing for me. I am so much more relaxed and happy and contented with life. Link to comment
