  1. I had a bladder neck resection last week, still have the Foley in. Supposed to be removed Monday morning. Will take a couple months to see if I recover or am incontinent to a greater degree.
  2. Dr. wants to try a TURP (transurethral resection of the prostate) on Monday to see if it will lessen the bladder spasims and pain I'm having. Going to tell her to remove as much as she needs to even if I'm left fully incontinent as long as it reduces the pain. Almost 45 years of painful spasms and leaks. I'm ready to get rid of the pain!
  3. I'm going to have a TURP in early Dec and a knee replacement in late Dec. The Dr says the TURP may help keep my bladder from spasiming so much. I'd rather leak all the time than have the pain from the bladder spasims.
  4. My dentists office has a small container labeled "diapers and feminine products only".
  5. Last time I was in for surgery was over 10 years ago, probably about 13 yrs. for left knee surgery. Told the Dr. I was incon and would have a high capacity diaper on. In the prep room the nurse told me to take it off, my late wife told her the Dr. said it was OK. When I came to I had a cath in, that they left in till I was ready to leave. At that point I couldn't put any weight on the leg and had to depend on diapers anyway.
  6. Mine started at 25 and I'll be 70 in January.
  7. Dr's offered it to me years ago, but I didn't agree to it due to the various problems associated with it.
  8. Started when I was 25 and I'll be 70 in early January so about 45 years now. Finally diagnosed with MS in 1983.
  9. Last time I had any surgery I wore a thick disposable with the Dr's approval. A nurse say it and told me to take it off. My wife told her the Dr. said it was OK. When I came to I had a Foley in. The Dr came in later and apologized, said he didn't know how long the diaper would last so they put the cath in.
  10. I started wetting the bed when I was 25 and I'm almost 70 now. Dr's finally determined I had MS.
  11. My wife had been in and out of the hospital for about 5 years, vomiting blood. They finally determined it was liver cancer. On July 4th the hosp called and said they might have a liver for her. She had the transplant (initial cost was $280,000+). She then went to ICU, then recovery, then to a nursing home, then home, then back to recovery, then to ICU and then she died August 21, 2016. I still have no idea what the bills will come to as SS and Medicare have the wrong payment info and I don't yet have the OK to change it. Could be close to $500,000 in bills, not including the previous 15 trips to emergency, ICU, chemotherapy and operations before the transplants. She had three chemo treatments, each was $75,000 before the transplant.
  12. This whole thread is a reminder of why I quit selling OR buying on eBay right after they changed their policy to no negative feedback for buyers some years ago. Still haven't bought anything from eBay since then.
  13. Wife has been in the hospital 14 times in the last 3 years (been vomiting blood) but that's not why I'm writing this. Each time and two different hospitals I've seen labels on the cabinets, one of them always says "Diapers". One time I had surgery on my left leg Dr. knew I wore diapers and told me to wear one to surgery so I did. The nurse tried to tell me to take it off and my wife told her the Dr. said it was OK. But when I came to I had a catheter in. The Dr apologized for it and said he didn't know how long the diaper would last (it was an Abena M-4 usually god for about 12 hours for me.)
  14. Yep, I use only the Fetware polyurethane pants, some have lasted over a year with daily wear both over night and daytime.
