Codymoogle
Nothing from babyhood (although this gives me a wave of "fuzziness")...However, if "little kid" counts, I have this song I used to loop when I was young - 4 to 6ish... 1 Link to comment

Infernum
Just from when I was a kid, maybe 4-5 there abouts, Powerslave by Iron Maiden and a lot of classical rock. My uncle used to take me on short road trips in his Mustang around the area (I live with my grandparents in the house he grew up in) and talk about all the crazy stuff he did. We always had a blast and he always had some new cassette with classic rock every time. Link to comment

onesieboy
Even though it is so overplayed these days, Carly Simon Your so vain was one of my dads favourites and always takes me back to being pushed on a swing by him. I always loved the line "I had some dreams there was clouds in my coffee" Link to comment

My Dad used to sing Bimbo all the time too. It was only going through my head the other day. I had to look it up though as I never knew who it was. Now I know, it makes sense that it was him as my Dad used to love his songs. For me it has to be Julie Andrews singing My Favourite Things. It's a song that's stayed with me over the years along with Rose Garden and Que Sera Sera. I'm always singing those three. Link to comment
waynecook52
Rani, glade you you did not say who sang it.Dont know how many are going to read this post but hope someone might know who sang it.Think I will ask this ? in the rest of your life. Link to comment
Bettypooh
There's a thread here somewhere along these lines from some years back, darned if I can find it Puff the Magic Dragon was my baby-toddler fave, and it still invokes those same strong feelings at the end Link to comment
Rani
Rani, glade you you did not say who sang it. And spoil all the fun? Nooooooo It's funny, but in all the time that my Dad sang it I never remembered hearing it for myself. That's why I had to look it up. It was good to hear the real version, and in tune too! wetatnight
I remember puff the magic dragon and the animated movie of puff the magic dragon some people claim the song is about smoking marijuana but I don't believe that. Link to comment
oleman72
Back in the early 40's there wasn't a whole lot of variety from what I remember. All we had was AM radio and the music could grouped into pop, big band, western or cowboy, and hillbilly. I really never had any favorites back then. Link to comment
