  1. They're just reselling the Incontrol product. Look at the pictures they provide. It has the Incontrol logo on it.
  2. So back before Incontrol/Rearz was known as AC Medical, they had a bunch of different styles for their latex diaper covers. Meaning different cuts/shapes/whatever. It seems now they've scaled back to only a single style (https://incontroldiapers.com/transparent-seamless-latex-brief/). Unfortunately this style is really narrow between the legs. Meaning that with a diaper on, I end up with a huge gap in between the latex and the leg, completely defeating the point of the cover (to catch leaks). Does anyone know of any alternatives sold elsewhere that aren't horribly over priced?
  3. In addition to correct sizing (don't go too big), the other thing I find is to adjust the diaper slightly more towards the front or back. On various brands I've tried over the years, I've found that usually if I shift the diaper slightly forward, so that the when worn, it's a little higher in the front, and the tapes are a little lower, that this helps. I'm not talking much mind you. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch.
  4. You use a "pusher". Typically just another catheter. Not really possible. It opens and closes via magnetism. The "wireless" controller device has to physically be held up against your skin (or close to it).
  5. That looks really interesting. But no, you won't be able to buy it anywhere. It's in clinical trials. Best to just keep an eye on it and wait til the trial is over. Looks like they estimate January 2022.
  6. Another thing to note is that the distribution is largely influenced by how much you release each time. For example, when using catheters/stents, I can easily saturate an entire high-capacity diaper (of pretty much any brand) which would normally have started leaking much earlier.
  7. Well I guess one question would be do you change standing up, or laying down? I stand up, and so I can put the new diaper on the ground underneath me (or on the toilet seat if i want to stand over that) when taking the old one off.
  8. Aside from diapers that are obviously the wrong size, probably the worst is the Abena M4. I just can't get it to fit well around the legs. The moment it gets wet enough to where the middle doesn't have instant absorption, it starts leaking. Leaving it like 80% unused.
  9. Seems old Tena diapers are commonly missed. I myself am one of them. Though I'm not familiar with the ones nappy_dan posted. The ones I liked were the ones discontinued a few years ago. The ones before "Active Fit" and "Ultima" came out. I liked them as they had a very good fit on me, and practically never leaked. They could be reinforced with transparent packing tape (and it would stick), which was extremely useful as being active and moving around a lot really stresses diaper tapes. And then lastly they were thin and discrete when dry, but bulked up when wet. I actually bought a ton when I found they were discontinued (probably had around 25 bags), but am down to only a couple bags, and have started using them sparingly.
  10. Trunks. They're like a shorter version of boxer-briefs for anyone not familiar with the style. Specifically I wear ones that are meant to raise and accentuate the manly parts. Although not for that reason. I ride horses, and so it helps to avoid smashing them against the saddle.
  11. Rearz has a somewhat similar product: https://rearz.ca/seamless-latex-brief-nude/ They're not really for swimming, but they do seal pretty good. I've even tested them by fully getting in the pool, and they kept the water out. Granted I wasn't swimming laps or anything vigorous, and it was only for a few minutes. But it does make the point. And it works in both ways, as I've had massive leaks and they hold it in until I get a chance to change. They also serve as good support too. Like if I'm going to be active and moving around, bending, crouching, etc, these do a good job of supporting the diaper and keeping it from loosening up. The only downside for me is the sizing. I'm a 31" waist. The medium has a good seal around the legs, but is loose at the waist. The small is good about the waist but doesn't extend over some of the taller diapers, and the gap between the legs is a bit small so when in odd positions, the seal might break. Anyway, I've rambled on long enough, but just dropping it out there in case you're interested.
  12. For me it started when I was 4, maybe 5, years old. It wasn't out of need or anything. I was fully potty trained, and was just because I wanted to. I was in preschool, and the bathroom had a stack of diapers for the kids who did need them. I would often go into the bathroom and put one on. But I got caught, many times, and they knew I wasn't supposed to be using them. The preschool staff started escorting me into the bathroom to make sure I didn't take any. After getting out of preschool, I lost easy access to the diapers and effectively took a break. Then at around age 6 or 7 I moved near a cousin who I frequently visited and who wore diapers. He was only a couple years younger so I could fit into them too. So I started sneaking those on when I got the chance. But eventually he didn't need them any more so I lost access to another supply, and went on another break, but this one much longer. In my mid teens, like 13 or so, I remember taking my mom's maxi pads, putting on several layers of underwear to make them snug, and using that as a makeshift diaper. But that wasn't that great, and so wasn't more than a few occurrences. I think it wasn't until I was living on my own, around the age of 19 or so when I was able to purchase a pack of Depends. And 17 years later, have kept at it, though with much better diapers of course ?.
  13. I bike pretty frequently, while diapered, and my usual trip is about 16 miles. I wear disposables. Usually diaper (plastic backed) + single booster. I also wear biking shorts, so lots of padding between me and the seat, which actually makes it nice and comfortable. I don't have any issue with chafing between the legs or anything. While the biking shorts are form-fitting, they're also black, so unless you're a couple feet away, you can't tell that they're thicker than usual, especially since I'm hunched over. I don't have any issue with sweat soaking the diaper as babypb mentioned with his experiences. I sweat sure, but not enough to make any noticeable impact on the diaper.
  14. Recently switched. I used to wear Tena Maxi, the old style. I bought like 10 cases when I heard they were being discontinued. Though I pretty much always have a booster in them. I could flood them and even if I went faster than it could absorb, it still wouldn't leak. Molicare was almost as good here, and I'd sometimes wear them too. But Molicares get saggy, especially if I walk around a lot. Tena's don't. But recently I've switched to the XP5000. Has the same ability to resist leaks, but the tapes (well, really velcro) are far superior. I can take it off, re-adjust it, whatever, and the tapes hold. With Tena I'd sometimes have to reinforce the tape, especially if I was going to be moving a lot. The tapes on the XP5000 require absolutely no reinforcement, even if they're on really tight and I'm moving a lot (I've deliberately tried to make them fail, and have failed at failing).
  15. All the way off. If I'm at home, then I'm not wearing shoes, and if wearing pants, then it's likely just shorts which come off easy. And so it's really no more difficult to just take it off entirely. However on the extremely rare occasion when I'm out and about, then it stays on, and I just slide it down. Before my recent diaper switch I would undo just the tapes on one side. If I could get away with just the top tape I would. But just enough to get it to slide down. The less tapes the better just because it weakens them, and has a higher risk of giving out. However after switching my diaper to XP5000, I just take all the tapes off. As it uses a velcro style fastner, taking them off and putting them back on doesn't weaken them, so I have no concerns about it any more. In fact the tapes were the primary reason I switched.
