  1. Judged in the end? Is that a euphemism for something? Well, I am shocked, shocked and dismayed I say. On a fetish site no less, someone is upset by... boy on boy stuff? Heavens to Betsy!
  2. Well, good luck to you: I have been watching and cheer-leading from the sidelines, knowing hw busy you are... what with the online side of things being difficult and annoying, and your meeting the bulk buyers coming up, then having to deal with them. Looking forward to things settling down and getting on their way! And I have an interesting question to look into in the near future: is your supplier able to send you promotional product, prepackaged attractively in either ones or twos, suitable as samples or for retail selling? I ask as I am involved in both the Calgary and Edmonton meets; one of the raison d'etre's of the meets is for us to buy in quantity as a group and enjoy reduced cost; and the vendor would enjoy meeting his clientele face to face and having only one shipping point. Having prepackaged small quantity packages of goods opens up other, quite tasty possibilities, which I would be happy to discuss in pm. Basically I see a market ready and waiting for this sort of merchandising, tell me if you see it potentially as an additional part of your business model.
  3. I would guess she's tg, and appears to have issues being fully independent, like not managing her own money. There's more going on beneath the surface here.
  4. While I am sympathetic to those who cry, "Get a job! Get a Bank account! Get a life! Live your dream! Long Live The New Flesh!!! - without knowing more about op's personal life, I am not so eager to jump in with both barrels drawn. Let's remember that many with our special interest are insecure, and this too often stems from actual and severe difficulty coping with life. Many people with such difficulties, from autism to asberger's to physical stuff have to put up with being over-mothered, having their life run by their parents, guardians, governesses and interferers-in-general. They take away one's freedom of choice, and infantilize those to whom they are so over-protective; incidentally reinforcing the tendency towards feeling comforted by diapers, by the bye. With all the kind intent in the world, they are disablers who fear to enable; all the more so if their charges show themselves less than competent: vulnerable persons, who "need" close observation and continual looking after. Throw in overly religious people, with a screwy application of their religiosity, and you have the mother from CARRIE, the movie. (Hey BabyMichelle - if you haven't seen the original (directed by de Palma) please do so and see if you can identify with it...http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074285/ ) I am not assuming anything about OP's actualrl situation: I am saying that as I can imagine a person in such a position, I can suppose OP may warrant our sympathy and assistance, not our harshness. I may be wrong and OP is a feckless lazy mouse; but until I know otherwise, OP gets the benefit of my doubt.) Rightie-ho then. Advice. First of all, I would commend you to join Adisc, if you haven't already: it is a support site for abdl's in distress. There you might find more sympathy, and more people willing and able to help you out. I bet chances are you WANT, CRAVE independence in your life; and us telling you to behave!!! and assert yourself is not only not useful but makes you feel worse. Now assuming you can get out on your own and can get hold of cash, I would ask you to try going to medical supply shops. In my experience, (which is not everyone's experience) they are populated by kindly little old ladies who ooze sympathy the way used car salesmen ooze smarm. They are pros at putting you at your ease: that's how they compete with Walmart, who sell the same things at 2/3 the price. Go buy samples in your size, of all their brands; and don't forget that med supply shops are about the only non-online retailers who stock plastic pants in your size. This gets you a variety of diapers to try, and at a reasonable cost, since you are buying them by ones and twos. Not to mention getting you decent quality ones. As you read between the lines on this site and any other site for enjoyers of diapers you'll discover that better diapers make for a much better time in them. Including a less leaky time. The last thing you want is for the wrong people to find wetspots in your bed because you overdid it the night before... At least with plastic pants over top, those wetspots are a little less likely... You may wake up wet and soggy but at least contained until you can get rid of the evidence...
  5. No, but then outside of diaper sites my presence is not very much linked to my personality or other me-information. On the other hand, getting involved with meeting live means more risks more often, and ones that are unknown: who knows who may be monitoring public meet info and surreptitiously tracking attendees, or overhearing stuff and back-tracing to the source. As Froggy said
  6. Waddles would be a great name. Tapes that both refasten multiple times but stay put when they are supposed to. Velcro or similar seems called for... Stretchy tapes (which already exist) would help. But not stretchy sides: then we could not get them as snug as they should be. I dunno about you guys but it is important to me to have the thing symmetrically taped or it's lopsided, and hurts the fit and the looks. I would not say no to a series of dots of different colors along the landing zone, so you know where to put the tapes each time; we are all different shapes: one medium does not fit all, neither all guys nor all gals. (yay hips.)
  7. And then there's cloth... Charity shops usually have a supply of standard ones for infants. Plastic pants for large infants can be got up to 3XL... I wore them when I was a 32" waist. Very snug and not much room inside, though they should fit you better. Also cheaper than adult plastic pants by a long, long, shot. Large safety pins at sewing and craft shops, even dollar stores; obviously kilt pins also work, especially if you like the look of oversized costume props. In Edmonton, here, there's a "green" shop, sort of an extension to the health food shops of the 70's and 80's, with locally made stuff and environmentally -aware stuff in general, like organic produce. They bring in locally-made(from Calgary, Alberta's other big city) cloth diapers and covers, by a company called Gabby's. Maybe you have a similar store carrying cloth diapers. Are you absolutely stuck on disposables? There are ways to take 2 or 3 baby ones and create an adult one from them, perhaps such instructions are around, perhaps even some of the thread responders above know what I speak of...
  8. I was a dl from about 4 or 5, specifically plastic pants, and that never went away. Disposables came into the picture in my 20's. Many of us like our disposables snug; and well-shaped plastic pants help there, keeping things smooth, and crease -free. Plus I like shiny things, including leather... plastic pants have the right look for me, the right smell and feel, the sense of being enclosed and things: mattresses, clothes, furniture protected from the wet. Sitting on towels everywhere ruins the mood. I do have lifting tape issues, and my pp's help there. As to sweating, my side-snaps breath, so that's that. Oh... saggy heavy crotches can and will pull at the tapes; if you like to fill your disposable to its limit, pp's again help. So pp's can help in terms of function; but the most important thing is how you feel wearing; if you like an uncovered pinned cloth jobbie, fine; or pp over disposable, or disp by itself; ish all good.
  9. Yes, it was great. Calgary has a much bigger area than Edmonton, of the sort like Whyte Avenue, full of coffee shops, independent boutiques & restaurants, and clubs. We strolled it for an hour after smoking hookahs at an Arabic restaurant. I ran a little late and didn't get to meet 2 who showed earlier; so am looking forward to Oct 10, when (I hope) they will return, as well as others. In the meantime I hear fetlife has a group going for abdl munches in Edmonton... which hopefully will lead to Alberta-wide meets, at least between Edmonton and Calgary.
  10. ... And airport security/customs has seen it all: I am sure people waltz about with inserted buttplugs, vibrating panties and all manner of things. And have at least heard of recreational diaper wearers... You could say you don't normally wear but are a nervous flyer... Unless your padding has "Big Baby" in big letters on it and your plastic pants are in "Barney" prints... Then you better run, the gig is up...
  11. All that diaper tourism left me frazzled and disappointed... sorry my post was unclear; I just tidied it up. Does it make sense now? And can you please tell us what the text in your image says? I encourage anyone else to say what pp's and plastic-backed disposables are still available retail where they live; it would be cool to read what is "In the stores, in New York, In The Stores in Perth, Australia, In The Stores, in Farnham, Surrey, UK... Our costume shops also came up empty. It would be cool to hear if somewhere there is an ab/dl store... stocked with footed pj's, plastic pants of all makes and models, thick, warm, cloth, Nuk 5's... -- and that they are having a sale...
  12. Sooo What kinds of interesting and/or cheap diapers or plastic pants can be bought in person in your town or city ? (Other than the usual cloth-backed big-name brands which are on the shelves at any usual drugstore, grocer or medical supply shop.) I am in a large city, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and I went exploring most of the medical supply shops in town in search of plastic pants and plastic-backed disposables; Real cloth in my size is only available online. The places I went were: London Drugs, Market Drugs (97 St/102 Ave.) Kingsway Rehab (opposite Kingsway Mall bus terminal) and the Whyte Ave/112 St. location of the Aspen chain, Homecare on Whyte... Their stock is on a database so they can check what's at each store from any location. Here's what I found: 1. PLASTIC PANTS : I am afraid it's all bad news. The spawn- of- satan awful Priva's that self-destruct as soon as you look at them have been dropped by Shoppers Drug Mart, but are at one or two London Drugs,$9 FOR A 3-pack My mind is repressing the locations. AMG. makes cheap ones - $7 and premium ones - $25... each only in white, each with the same square profile. see: http://well.ca/categories/incontinence-management_61.html Scroll down a bit and you can't miss them. The cheap ones only come in XL and XXL - no other sizes! The XXL are for waist 52"- 62". Homecare on Whyte has one pair of each. Market Drugs has a few pairs of each. I said they are cheap... They would work for a bit but won't last long; still twice the pant of a Priva, but a Priva barely beats a grocery bag with the corners cut off. You'll find AMG's premium ones at Kingsway Rehab (opposite the Kingsway bus terminal) for $25, or Market Drugs for $19... snaps, heavy gauge, loud, and not the least bit babyish. Built decently if not spectacularly by the looks of them, and highly functional. Things now go from bad to worse. 2. Plastic backed disposables: gone. Kaputt. Finito. There's nearly no old stock left, like a bag here, a bag there of Kendalls at the Aspen outlets (which hold around 3 litres: that's the only good news. Earth's General Store on Whyte Ave. sells Gabby's products (pp's and cloth)but doesn't stock them ; they will only special order.
  13. yeah, I used to be smaller... So when I decided to give away the stuff that would never fit me again, I offered it to selected poor furs who would really appreciate it; Some said great, but no thanks, as they weren't into plastic pants. I appreciated that. A lot. In the exchange section on this forum, don't you think is reasonable to pay shipping to get the goods at low cost from members? Why should it be any different with samples from a corporation?
  14. I had a problem with the kitties clawing up the flower beds and using them as the liteer box so I got expensive cat repellent... which worked fine but evaporated and had to be replenished daily. So I chopped onion... a fresh piece each day kept them away. You may wind up with onion-scented diapers... but it is an idea to consider. Or get smelling salts, which are conc. ammonia. They were widely used in Victorian Britain to revive fainting women. Don't put them to your cat's nose, just leave them on the cupboard; the cat will avoid it.
  15. Yay; I support the troops if not always the mission. I am just sorry it was capped so low, $10 000 would have seemed fairer to me... $100/month is only $3 a day or so... Maybe this will temporarily house some homeless vets. We can only hope.
