Nat
Has anyone ever done a crossover with their characters or with any imaginary friends? Link to comment
BabyJune
Not here. I like to start each novel fresh with brand new ideas, scenarios, and characters. Crossovers do, however, work if you are doing a multi-part series or to continue a story. Link to comment
BoTox
I have done many crossovers, sequels and spinoffs. One of my favorites is Misstress Ingrid, the diapering Domme, that popped up in Halloween Again and will appear in an as yet unreleased story that I'm working on about a DB&B (diapered Bed & Breakfast). Cute_Kitten
I've done a few fan fiction crossovers. One of the craziest was with a collaboration with a fellow fanfic writer- we did a cross over between the old, original Yugioh and Lord Of the Rings. Another crossover was a crazy one of Bleach and Harry Potter. XD. 1 Link to comment

Cute_Kitten
Well, that certainly does sound very different. Do you have any of them posted any where to peruse? Ah, how did I miss this? Sorry it took me so long to respond! Link to comment
Personalias
I'm not sure I'd want to do a fan-fic cross over. Link to comment
Cute_Kitten
I don't think either of mine were done well, but...well I'm the kind of knucklehead that will try just about anything once, even if its a total flop. Hell, most of the things I try online and off end in failure lol. Only way to find out is to try! Then again, discretion does tend to save one's dignity and keep one from looking like an idiot if said attempt ends in flaming failure lol. Bet, either way its all good. Different strokes for different folks. Link to comment

minachan16
I've never done a crossover, but I'd only be open to one if the crossover was my own original characters from one of my stories into another one of my stories. However, in most cases when I see that in other stories or TV or movies, the idea is often very forced. If it doesn't work, it just comes across as pointless, so I'm always hesitant to add old characters to new works when I could just make new characters instead. Link to comment
BoTox
I like being able to make an old character wander into a new story. It allows me to introduce a known entity into a new story without having to develop the entire character from scratch. It is like I'm already friends with this character. Link to comment
Cute_Kitten
Hey, its fan fiction. Sometimes its like walking into Wacky Land. Logic and plausibility gets left behind. @_@. Mostly pointless or just for shits and giggles. Or just blame it on the LSD. I kid, I kid. Link to comment
pink nappies
I have often thought of having my characters cross-over, simply because I often get stuck with writers block and having my own characters interact can spiral very quickly into something large. However, I've always resisted because I feel like once they cross there's no going back. Sure, they clearly live in the same universe, but having them meet starts to lock in things like time and location. Maybe it will only happen once I'm convinced that I'll never revisit the characters by themselves, which I can not honestly say right now. As for crossing over with another author, there are lots of interesting characters that I'd like to work with from stories I've read, and even art I've seen on places like DA. The reason I won't ever actually go near it is simple: I wouldn't want someone using my characters in a cross over story and so it would be awfully unreasonable of me to expect the same. You gotta stick to your principles. Link to comment
Emily in Diapers
The author of "Abby's Diapers" did a crossover with a character from my story, "Raquel's Only Wish". And I also used one of their characters in my story. Link to comment
Denube
I honestly would be somewhat okay with allowing people access to the characters I create for my stories, but the problem with that is that I'd want them to treat my characters with respect. Link to comment
Nat
I wouldn't use other peoples characters without their permission unless I was doing a Fanfiction. However Peter Faltskog was made up by an online friend while he was helping me with my Fanfiction years back. I decided to use him in my story but his name is only mentioned. Now my online friend knows nothing about that character because he moved on and forgot about that character. I did decide to change the mother a little bit career wise. Link to comment
