What's Two More?

Nancy and Drew Bernard had two children whom they loved with all their hearts. They had wanted a big family, but stopped at two after their daughter Carrie, was diagnosed with severe autism and it became clear she required a lot of extra attention. Even with their daughter needing special care, they loved their older son as well. They loved them equally.

[Ishigreensa]

Carl answered the door dressed in business attire.

[Shy-Diapers]

(She'd be in school, because of the law,

"I'm really sorry, but our kids' health comes first," he told the lady.

[Shy-Diapers]

"David I know you want to protect Carrie, but she needs grown ups to help her too." The woman said with a sigh. She motioned for him to sit and she said the same, figuring Carrie would mimic her big brother.

[Ishigreensa]

David spoke up.

"She's started peeing her pants more lately.

[Shy-Diapers]

"She goes to a special ed school that was about an hour from their home, but it's made so much progress in Carrie's development since attending there. The school is about an hour and a half from here though." The socal worker said. She put a hand on David's shoulder to calm him down.

[Ishigreensa]

Carl frowned.

[Shy-Diapers]

Sarah rolled out of bed out of habit. She was surprised her mother hadn't woken her up by now.

Nancy bent down and picked up her little angel and then she started to carry her to Carrie's room to wake her.

"Honey, time to get up!

[Shy-Diapers]

Sarah shook her head and pouted a little. "Nuh uh!" She said with a hint of sass. "Momma I haven't had a accident in forever!"

Macy giggled and played with her mother's hair. Her diaper was sagging heavily and visibly.

Nancy nodded and smiled.

"I know sweetie.

[Shy-Diapers]

Sarah put on her purple overalls and a plain white long sleeved

David took her to the bathroom and he closed the door and locked it.

[Shy-Diapers]

Carrie squirmed on the toilet seat whining a little. She didn't speak, but she would whine and cry or moan if she was upset. The toilet seat was cold hard porcelain, unlike the one she was used to at home.

Her parents had gotten soft squishy toilet seat covers so Carrie wouldn't be put off by it. The lights were also very bright and harsh in the bathroom. Her parents had created a bathroom with minimal bright lights and more natural lighting, something that soothed Carrie.

David sighed.

"Okay, Carrie.

[Shy-Diapers]

Carrie started to yell and cry. She was very prone to meltdowns now that her life had shifted.

[Ishigreensa]

David quickly pulled her out of the washtub and he held her in his lap sitting on the toilet not caring if she peed on him or not.

[Shy-Diapers]

(He wouldn't be able to lift her

"I don't know, honey.

[Shy-Diapers]

Sarah quickly ate and then hoped there'd be time for her hair now. She couldn't do it the pretty way her mom and sister did.

David looked up at her.

"Aren't you even mad?" he asked surprised.

[Shy-Diapers]

"It's okay. Accidents happen. I've potty trained three children and am potty training a fourth." Nancy smiled and got the swiffer mop and made quick work of cleaning the bathroom floor.

[Ishigreensa]

"We'll play in a minute, Mashey," David wasn't making fun of her.

[Shy-Diapers]

"No not Mashey, Mashey!" Macy said not understanding that the toddler lisp made it sound that way. She happily went back to eating now.
