After a lot of thinking, Avi figured out what her cousin meant.

He sighed.

"Okay, can I cover my head with your blanket, then," he asked.

Avishag gave Tom the blanket that was on the bed, refusing to give him her special blanket. She was too attached to it.

[Ishigreensa]

He put the blanket over his head.

"Now, I can't see you at all," he told her.

[Shy-Diapers]

Avishag was really confused by the explanation. Couldn't he just remove the blanket if he wanted? She didn't really understand.

Tom smiled and nodded.

"Well, how about I take you to dad's room then?

[Shy-Diapers]

Avi shook her head. She'd rather be alone at the moment. She rolled over and closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep. She still couldn't, no matter how hard she tried. She was exhausted but couldn't sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, she heard the gunshots again.

Tom didn't know what to do for her, so he went to his room, got his blankets and pillow, and then he slept by her bedroom door.

Avishag felt kind of weird with her cousin sleeping outside her door. It felt off to her. How could she complain though? She wasn't talking.

Tom woke up just about 7:03, and he looked up towards the bed.

Avishag shook her head. She didn't want to get dressed. She just sighed and flopped backwards on her bed. She was still really struggling with everything.

Tom got up and walked over to her bed again and he looked over her.

"Are you going to be okay?" he asked her.

About then, Ralph came in.

"What's going on in here?"

"She was tossing and turning all night dad.

Avishag leaned into her uncle and sniffled. She was lonely and depressed. She gripped onto his arm, and didn't let go. She was very clingy to him.

[Ishigreensa]

Ralph patted her back as she sat in his lap leaning against him.

"It's okay, baby," he cooed at her as if she was a small child.

Avi leaned in close to her uncle as big hot tears ran down her face. She didn't know what to do. She just knew her parents were never ever coming back to her.

"It's okay," Ralph whispered to her rocking her.

[Shy-Diapers]

Avishag gripped onto her sheep and her uncle when he carried her downstairs. She didn't want to he separated from either of them.

[Ishigreensa]

Ralph lightly patted her back while he read the book aloud, at least the English side of it.

[Shy-Diapers]

Avi started to zone out while her uncle read. She was brought back to reality when Tom and him were conversing.

Ralph stopped reading for a minute and he put the book down to look into Avi's eyes wondering what she wanted.

"What is it, honey?

[Shy-Diapers]

Avi shook her head. She wasn't really hungry for once in her life.

[Ishigreensa]

It wasn't until she finally put her hands into her crotch from having to go so badly and she was really wiggling her legs, that Ralph caught on and whispered.

"Sorry, baby."

He stood up and put her down to take her hand to walk her just in case she didn't make it.

Avishag was relieved when her uncle caught on to what she meant. She was glad she didn't have an accident, though she didn't really think she could hold it much longer.

Ralph bent down to her and he smiled.

"It's okay, Avishag.

[Shy-Diapers]

Avishag was mortified that she wet herself when she was fully awake. She rubbed her eyes and tried to keep the tears from flowing.
