willnotwill
Just when a bunch of DMCA requests managed to get the last incarnation of it shutdown, that pedophile plagiarist (or one of his successors) has restored the site lock, stock, and barrel on some UK freehosting Link to comment

willnotwill
[That site]. Digital Millenium Copyright Act. He's been posting my stories without permission for years even though (when he was still active) I told him that "found on the internet somewhere" does not equate to the public domain. eatenbywo1ves
To what extent are you willing to "fuck" with someone? If I were in you shoes it'd be so tempting. 1 Link to comment

Bettypooh
Just a bit on proof of origin here. Mapmakers all put errata somewhere on their products. Might be a non-existing street or a mis-drawn roadway in a place where it doesn't matter or a mis-named or misspelled point. But it will be something on every map made and sold just to make it positively identifiable soc they can protect their copyright, For stories you can substitute something 'English' for something "American" like color/coolur; grey/gray, etc. Once per chapter is enough and it's so subtle that few will catch it and those who do will think nothing much about it. It can be as simple as a period instead of a coma. Just remember what it is for each published section and have more content done similarly and you can then prove pretty solidly that it is something you and not somebody else, wrote. Dill_Pickle
Honestly, I don't know if sending DMCA notices is the right tool. Link to comment
willnotwill
This is fine if it was posted to some forum site. Link to comment
