My "Bedwetting" Experience in the Hospital

From age 15 to 21, I went into the psych wards of a few local hospitals. Depression and anxiety aren't fun and being locked in a hospital wing with disturbed children and adults isn't always fun. All but one time, I've asked for diapers at night. Now, I've always felt guilty about it, as I'm not actually a bedwetter, but they made me feel safe and secure when I was at my lowest.

As it turns out, every time I've gone into the psych ward, I developed a bladder infection while on the way to the hospital and while waiting. So, some nights I'd lay in bed and wet my diaper, some nights I'd go to sleep dry and wake up wet, some mornings I'd be dry and wet myself on purpose, sometimes I'd accidentally wet my diaper. One time I peed my pants and had to have a nurse change my sheets.

It's kind of embarrassing to have a bunch of different doctors ask about your Bedwetting, when you do and don't wet the bed. I dunno, just something to consider.
