Paige was in her room. She was so excited for the summer. Parties, bonfires, swimming, amusement parks! That's how most of her summers went. But she was about to receive news she wasn't expecting. It could take out some of her summer plans.

Doris smiled at her daughter.

"Have a seat honey. I fixed you a snack. I have something to tell you."

Doris waited for Paige to sit down. She reached over and patted paige's hand.

"Honey, as you know your father is vice president of his company. Well his company is branching out overseas. They are sending your father over to open the new office. He will be gone for the summer."

"As you know, my hours at work are erratic. I never know when I'll be called in. When your father worked at the office here, I could juggle the schedule so one of us could be here with you. Now that can't happen."

"I know you are a teenager now, but I hope you understand I can't leave you home alone. It's not that I don't think you are responsible, but I need to know you'll be safe."

Doris paused and took a breath, waiting for Paige's reaction.

Doris listened to Paige.

"I'm sure you would be fine by yourself, but I would be worried sick. Besides, you would be bored silly sitting around the house."

"Honey, I've arranged for you to spend the summer with you're aunt Judy. She's your father's sister. I don't know if you remember her, but we lived with her for awhile when you were five. Once your dad got on at his present job, we moved here."

"Judy lives in Orlando, Florida, where Disney World is. I've already bought you a plane ticket. You'll be leaving in the morning."

"Wait. There's something you should know about your aunt Judy. She's a little,um, eccentric. I expect you to treat her with respect though. Don't do anything to make her feel bad."

"Whatever you can't pack tonight your aunt can buy you in Florida, so pack light. Only one suitcase and one carry on. I'll help you pack if you want."

"Thank you. That's my girl." Doris said with a smile.

"Let's go start packing then. I want you in bed by 10:30. We need to be up by 6 to get to the airport."

Doris came over and helped Paige stand up and gave her a hug.She led her back to her room to start packing.

(We can timeskip to the next morning)

Doris woke up the next morning and quickly got dressed. She crossed the hall and opened the door to Paige's room. She came over to Paige and shook her arm.

"Honey wake up. You need to get dressed for your flight. I'm going down and make breakfast."

Paige groaned slightly. She wished she didn't have to get up so early but atleast she would be able to sleep on the plane. She got up after her mom said to get dressed. She figured it was going to be hot when she would get down to Florida. So after she got her undergarments on, she threw on shirts and a tank top. Then grabbed her pair of pj pants so she could sleep in those on the plane. She grabbed her luggage and took them downstairs.

Doris cooked some scrambled eggs and put some eggos in the toaster. She had them on the plate ready for Paige. Doris fixed herself a cup of coffee.

Doris smiled at how Paige looked. She set the food in front of her and poured her some juice.

"Hurry up and eat. You need to go through security at the airport."

Doris sat down to drink her coffee.

"I'll be quick mom, promise. I won't miss my flight or anything." Paige says. She started to eat her breakfast. She was actually pretty excited. It was still a vacation just with her aunt.

Doris smiled at Paige. Paige, for the most part, was the best daughter she could have asked for. Doris watched Paige eat her breakfast. Once Paige was finished, Doris reached over to take her plate.

"I want you to go try and use the toilet now. We'll be at the airport for awhile checking in and going through security and you might not get another chance before boarding your plane. I'll be waiting in the living room." Doris said.

Doris stood up and carried the dishes to the sink.

Doris got Paige's luggage and brought it the living room, setting it by the door. She spent the rest of the time waiting on Paige walking around the living room looking at the pictures on the wall.

Judy spent her morning setting up a toddler bed in her bedroom. The room where Paige was going to sleep had been used as a craft room, so Paige would sleep in her room until she could convert the other room into a bedroom.

Paige was able to go pretty good. She then grabbed her phone and earbuds. Then went downstairs. Her charger was in her carry-on so she didn't have to worry about that. "I'm ready to go mom." She says.

"Alright honey."

Doris opened the front door and took Paige's suitcase out to the car and put it in the back. She let Paige get her carry on. Doris locked the house and waited for Paige to get in the car and drove to the airport.

"I bet your not even going to miss me, you'll be having so much fun." Doris said, leading Paige into the airport.

"Of course, honey. Do you think I would forget something that important?"

Doris opened her purse and took out the ticket she had printed out on the computer. She handed it to Paige.

"Don't lose the ticket. It's a non stop flight to Orlando. I've listed you as a child travelling alone, so a flight attendant will make sure you get to Orlando and find your aunt Judy without any problems."

Doris gave Paige a hug.

"Go on honey. I'll wait by the gate until your plane leaves and then go." Doris explained.

After getting the bed ready, Judy got a piece of poster board and wrote PAIGE SUMMERS on it in large block letters. She went over the letters with glue and sprinkled purple glitter on it. She went on her computer and printed out cartoon characters like Dora, Disney Princesses, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh. She glued the characters to the sign around Paige's name.

She grabbed her ticket.

"Alright mom, thanks." Paige hugged her mom back. "I love you mom. Ill call you when I get to Aunt Judy's house okay." She says before heading off towards the gate to her plane.

When Paige showed the counter agent her ticket, he got a flight attendant to take Paige onto the plane. She seated Paige near the front of the plane, near the flight attendants area. She fastened Paige's seat belt for her and took her carryon. She slipped the carry on into the over head comparment and kept interrupting Paige during the flight to see how she was, not letting her sleep much at all.

Finally the plane landed in Orlando. Paige was escorted off the plane and they started looking for Judy.

Judy had heard that the plane was landing, so she stood up, holding the sign in front of her.

Judy saw Paige with the flight attendant but didn't connect it was Paige until the flight attendant walked up to her.

"Judy Summers?" The flight attendant asked.

Judy showed her her drivers license. the flight attendant took Paige's hand, holding it out to Judy, who took it.

"She was a little angel during the flight. She didn't give me any problems at all. I wish all the kids I took care of were like her." The flight attendant said.

The flight attendant looked at Paige and then whispered in Judy's ear. Judy nodded and the flight attendant left. Judy looked Paige over and smiled.

"I can't believe that this is little Paige. The last time I saw you, you were still running around in diapers. How about I take you to the bathroom and you can try and go potty for me? The flight attendant told me, you didn't use the bathroom once. You must be bursting." Judy said.

"We'll get your luggage in a few minutes."

Judy started leading Paige to the bathroom.
