I am pretty open about my incontinence I'll answer questions if asked but I find that nobody really care's enough to ask

Starman getting a prescription for diapers in any country is precede by invasive tests, medication trials that will take you about 2 years to go through, a trial of catheters draining your bladder a regular intervals ( like every 2 hours) and if all that fails the surgical evaluation to rectify the problem, then if you are really lucky a urologist who will even contemplate allowing any kind of diaper ( Doctors consider diapers a failure of medicine and a personal failure of their skills and training ),so if you truly have the need you are going to pay out of pocket for them for many years before ever getting a script,no matter what your level of need is.not to mention what someone all ready brought up about how viciously they will prosecute you should you be seeking them for anything but clear need. Also as brought up you will get a pad or diaper of the lowest quality around. I am in the US and Incontinent, with five complete expert diagnosis, the biggest of them is a genetic disease that only 202 people before me on earth has died from, and the Cadillac of diapers available to me is a Tranquility ATN, I drain my Bladder by catheter 5 times a day and that's not enough because I still go through about 6 diapers a day, and my actual over nite diaper is cloth that I paid for myself. So good luck on your journey, but know the road ahead is paved with shards of glass and at the end of the road the pot of gold is a very low quality diaper in limited supply if you are truly needy.

Why would you think you could place a prescription request and expect it to be approved with no tests or meetings with doctors or anything? The NHS or whatever you have where you are have to pay for anything they give out. Just because you don't directly pay for medical care doesn't mean that no one pays for it.

They will never just hand out prescriptions for whatever you ask for... They would want to know why you feel you need a prescription for something, they wouldn't just say "oh, you are suddenly experiencing bladder weakness? OK, here you go." They would want to check for serious problems because suddenly requiring nappies or bed pads or anything else isn't a normal thing for a person to suddenly need for no reason. Also, if they started handing out prescriptions without check-ups then they would have a lot of people requesting things like methodone and other hard drugs. Heck, my fiance could have got on estrogen a year earlier if they just gave it to her when she asked for it.

I can't say I have any sympathy because lying about medical problems to get something you want for free is pretty fraudulent... It also provides a drain on a medical service which I suspect can ill afford it.

I would say it is a big deal when lying about something to get stuff for free. Whether he gets caught or not, it is a stupid thing to do. Lying about problems to officials like doctors can end up getting you in trouble further down the line.

Going for appointments and tests and everything just to get some free incontinence supplies (which will be cheapest they can get) seems like it isn't worth the trade even if you take out the ethical concerns. Especially when the things you want can be bought from most places quite cheaply as well.

The NHS is getting cut to ribbons at the moment, the last thing they need is people fraudulently claiming things they don't need. Lying about this stuff because you don't want to pay just makes anyone who pays their taxes pay for your fetish instead. It is the same thing as people claiming disability benefits that they don't need. It creates a strain on the system that everyone else has to pay for.

I mean... I know you are disabled from what you have said but how does getting free nappy supplies help? They aren't going to put themselves on you/the bed. Free supplies will be no easier to put on than ones you pay for.

If you feel you need the supplies but can't afford them you should speak to your GP and explain the situation. But since your first post said you lied about needing them then although I have sympathy for you in regards to you disabilities, I don't have any sympathy for you regarding trying to game the system. As the person above me says you are creating a situation that doesn't exist so that you can benefit from it.

Right, several issues here:

1/ several people have said that the NHS don't issue nappy style products for unrinary incontinence, they do! I use them! And before someone accuses me of cheating the system, I was offered them when I became permanently incontinent, largely due to my own actions!

2/ If you say you only have nighttime incontinence you will NOT get supplied product, the NHS will only supply product to those who are pretty much 24/7 incontinent, and even then at quite a low rate! I get 3 pads a day.

3/ you do not receive a prescription, or pay prescription charges, for incontinence products they are supplied and shipped by a specialist incontinence supplier.

4/ it very much does sound like you are attempting fraud!

5/ NHS products are not anywhere near the quality and comfort of those which you can buy on line.
