Spanking without pain

It seems counter productive, but hear me out. My boyfriend Roger and I have started toying with Dom/Sub roles. one particularly exotic evening, I grabbed a winter scarf and "whipped" him until he promised to be a good boy and please me right. He absolutely loved it. I loved the concept of punishing him, but the thought of causing him any sort of pain is unbearable for me. Can I use anything other than a scarf?

Floggers are a good impact play toy with little to no pain and you can seriously put your weight into the stroke of the flogger. It does sound painful but it doesn't hurt at all. My wife isn't huge into pain either but I find if you start off slow and build up tolerance he likely could handle a good session of you spanking him. The idea is to learn when and where to spank and how to not harm him. I'll see if I can find a link that's on my tumblr that shows the areas to hit and where not too.

Spanking a diapered butt with a hand or large paddle creates a lot of sound and anxiety but no real pain I can see your point, but for me if there's no pain then there's no point in spanking. Just me, YMMV!
