Who woke up wet this morning?

I couldn't agree more. If I wake up dry I feel cheeted somehow.

So do I--worse, in fact. When I wake up dry, I feel like a fraud, because if I were "really" incontinent, I'd wake up wet. At least if I woke up wet every morning, I'd have a valid counter-argument to CNAs who ask me, "Why don't you have a urinal beside the bed instead?"

I usually wake up "to wet" a couple of times in the night. When morning rolls around I my alarm finally goes off I am almost always wet.

Since September 26 I had to finally realize that I am incontinent (an the help of my doctors treating me saying so) I finally accepted that fact of my life and it is what it is.

One thing I have notice is that I use to get up 2, 3 or 4 times a night to pee or change a wet bed. I finally accepted the full diaper routine but in over a year and a half since I been sick and having periods of incontinent and have been wearing diapers for almost 2 months somewhere it has given me a piece of mind that I finally do not need to get up and go pee, "strange isn't it".

Got to admit it's wonderful sleeping through the night peacefully no waking up for anything and yet knowing I went to bed diapered with thick thirsty diapers and dry to waking up soak and wet. In all my years I never knew it could feel this nice.

I'm not making this up and still trying to get use to wearing diapers 24/7 changing 3-5 times a day but it's coming along and getting us to it.

Maybe someday I'll write a article on how and why I need diapers.

You and every other baby boomer. Believe it or not, your incontinence problems are extremely common. Liking to wear diapers often turns out to be more common than you might think too.

I'm curious though. What kind of diapers have you been using, and have they been good enough for you to not wet the bed most nights?

Been trying different combination but only two work so far. One was a diaper 4-10-4 from Changing times and that was ok but it leaked a little then the one I found safe in and having dry bed nights is a Super Tena with a soaker from Babykins and the all in one Babykin diaper. With that in place I also wear plastic pants from Gary with another soaker just in case. Now even though I'm soaked in the morning I have started to sleep right through the night with not a wed bed, such a relief. Still am looking for a better alternative and maybe some day through trial and error I'll find the right combination

Have you tried diapers from Adult Cloth Diaper company?  I use their night-time weight diaper, with 1 or 2 of their diaper inserts, and plastic pants. I seldom have a leak in bed. Their night weight diaper is thicker than the Changing Times diaper. (I have those too.)

I might also suggest a diaper that doesn't otherwise require a soaker. I really like Dry24/7 which has been amazing for me.

Was seriously thinking about trying Abena 4 as the reviews I have heard about it sounded great. The Dry24/7 I'll have to look into as well. Want to thank you all for your suggestion and will get back to you when I am able to get them.

Also have anyone dealt with medline products. Medicaid will pay for them here and was wondering how they were. Also been asked to sit in on a visit with a representative from Medline sometime this month so we'll see what happens.

The only thing I don't really care for in a good diaper is the sticky tapes. Much rather have a pull-up that has the same qualities and features as a tape one does. Any suggestions?

Woke up dry, however almost immediately, I wet my diaper, snuggled up for another 10 min. in my now warm and wet diaper.

Those are most of my mornings. Its like there is a door just barely keeping everything in, then as soon as I wake... door flys open.

Wet as normal! Maybe I'm dry once or twice a month.

Anyone know where I can get Gary Euroflex pants in the UK. All the sites I have seen are US ones.

Similar to me. You will soon get so used to it that it just becomes second nature. I couldn't imagine going back now.

Was that a good thing or a bad thing?

Probably good since the alternative is waking up in the middle of the night needing to go pee. I'd take the full nights rest over a dry bed any time.

I would prefer to wake up and not piddle while sleeping.

Have you tried it on a nightly basis, every night, for a decade or more? I have, and I can say it gets old really really fast. I would much rather prefer to just sleep all night.

Same here, woke up to pee then managed to fall back asleep. My diaper didn't hold up and ended wetting the bed. I use a reusable mattress pad though. It's just a matter of throwing the pad in the washer since this way the bed stays dry. You may want to get one and try it too. Much easier than having to deal with a wet mattress.
