I wonder if there is a single site where a person could see a very large selection of fonts, especially free down-loadable ones? I googled 'fonts' and got glassy-eyed rather quickly Sometimes TMI sets in, and with thousands of fonts out there that doesn't take long to happen for me :whistli9ng:

Fonts also include things like chess/checkerboards and pieces. I think I have a cat font and I msy still have the baby font and princessfont,these are called webdings. You might also go to the RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME thread in Adutl Kids and look up "The write Stuff" for other related things

Your reaction ("glassy eyed") rewmbles a person dropped into a field that is empty as far as the eye can see and has difficulty orienting due absence of landmarks. If you have FierFox then find the desCut addon. Ordinarily this sends the link to the desktop. Create a links folder on the desktop and go into the desCut options and program it to send the links to the folder automatically. Otherwise it will not be long before your desktop becomres a rat's nest of links. This enables you to save links to sites that look promising so that you can retrieve them later. If you see a font you like at a site, just take it. This will save you a good deal of TMI overload and the sites you save wil be the landmarks that you can return to and you do not have to try to do averyting in one gulp

I've always liked Chalkboard for playful stuff. Duc de Bery is the font I use on my personal letterhead (not that I ever use the stuff) and I hand calligraph most things I want to look nice. I prefer a font that resembles the hand used in the Book of Kells.
