  1. I find the glue holding together NorthShore products is weaker than other brands, or at least it's more prone to break down with movement and the use of creams. One thing that I find helps with preserving the integrity of the MegaMax is the use of a compression garment or onesie. It helps support the diaper and prevents it from moving/sagging too much. However, even with that support I find the MegaMax less durable then other diapers, unfortunately. That's why I usually prefer Tykables. I'll use their Cammies line or the Camelot when things need to appear more neutral. The Camelot looks like a plain white diaper when rolled up and ready to dispose.
  2. I have issues digesting a lot of foods, so unfortunately my bm's are a bit unpredictable. I've become more and more of a fan of hook and loop because of this. I'm able to untape the top tabs, or both tabs of one side to slide it down and am able to easily refasten it multiple times. With adhesive, that's harder to do as they lose their stickiness each time you undo them.
  3. I wear Tykables daily and I know what you're talking about! That "Toddler Tough" plastic really makes some noise! For something discreet I find that the BetterDry and Crinklz plastic is soft, supple, and quiet. They don't have a crinkly landing zone either. That would be my preferred diaper for stealth while not sacrificing capacity.
  4. Yes, I use the MegaMax and a booster for daily use, or similar absorbency diapers with a booster. I'm a heavy wetter both day and night and I need the absorbency as much as I can get. I also like the feel of the bulk between my legs and the squishiness so it's a win-win. I wear baggier clothes and a onesie and that always helps conceal it.
  5. For me, if the medium better dry fit better I would use them daily. They're the best economical options, even with their faults. If you use barrier creams the leak guards might come unglued which may be a big issue for you. I use the NorthShore MegaMax right now because the fit is better but they are definitely pricer.
  6. Yesterday I decided to have some fun and shower in a MegaMax. It's always a fun thing to do, but this time my diaper exploded! Around the back legs came unglued, and the padding started to fall out with it's own weight and with the water. I saw what I expected at first, SAP and pulp, but then I felt something kinda hanging there. I wear glasses so I couldn't see it at first in the shower, but I pulled it out and it looked kinda like a woven mat infused with SAP. It was not possible to pull it apart. There was also a bigger one the shape of the diaper but not as thick. Is this something new to diaper construction or are other diapers made like this as well? I assume it is to help with wicking, but I had no idea it was. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with the construction of diapers. I posted this on another site, but would also like to hear from the dailydiapers community. Thanks!
  7. I've subscribed to the big littles diaper box for a while now. I love it! The first three months are a bit scary with the big boxes, but it's nice to know you'll never run out. I went with the plus, and I think it's a good deal for abdl diapers per unit. I'd like to get megamaxes from NorthShore as well, but paying $14 shipping for a case kills me. For a case of 40 MegaMaxes, it works out to be just over $2.35, and Tykables are $2 exactly. I now have an extra 3 cases of 80... I let it get that way because who knows how long the supply chain in China will be messed up ? but you always have the option to skip a month after that initial 3 month period. I'd probably order a bag first to see if the fit and absorbency work for you. They tend to run a bit small IMO

    Crinklz

So I recently have gained some weight, and unfortunately no longer fit in size medium Crinklz. They were tight on the bottom tapes before, but now they don't fit at all. The problem I have now is that the size large don't fit at all either. They droop, they are too big around for me so they always sag and leak. It's disappointing, as they were my favorite.
  9. I like the slight stretch of the Tykables Overnights, but mostly wear diapers with the waddle cut. I feel like the bottom tapes don't fit right always, but that might be because I've recently gained weight. I wear a size large in everything. I've tried experimenting with putting the bottom tapes on first, and it seems to fit a lot better. The area between the legs is much wider, which I like better unless it gets bunched up wrong. Otherwise, I hardly ever ever leak. It's wider, and since the padding swells in places where there isn't normally padding, it's definitely a waddle cut
  10. I've got on a Tykables Little Rawrz, with two Bambino Quadro Deluxe boosters, a NorthShore booster size large, and a NorthShore booster size extra large contour. Over that is a Rearz plastic pants and a little for big onsie!
  11. I wear all the time to concerts. It's great and keeps you away from the gross bathrooms! I usually wear a MegaMax with a booster so I can drink all I want without worries. The only part I get nervous at is if there's a security check at the beginning. Nothing's resulted of it though. I seriously recommend wearing to concerts!
  12. I recommend the MegaMax from NorthShore, they never seem to clump on me, even with tossing and turning at night. I think the Tykables galactic are right up there as well, and combined with boosters from Bambino, you're set to go for a long time. I usually put two of their Quadro boosters in my diaper during the day and that will last me at least 8 hours. I'm a pretty heavy wetter, but it does the trick. Someone's I'll put a Quadro Deluxe and a regular Quadro booster, they never clump on me. Sometimes they swell so much that they open on one end though..
  13. Yeah, and in retrospect I probably could have played it safer, by wearing a plain white diaper, but I wasn't expecting a physical exam of any sort. At least I know to wear a white one next month! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. So today I went to the student health center of my University, for medications for depression and anxiety. I had mentioned that during panic attacks it was hard to breathe, so the doctor wanted to check my heart and lungs. I heard "pull up your shirt" and that's when my heart skipped a beat. I was wearing a onesie, but luckily it was a black one. I didn't snap it together on the bottom, so at least I didn't have to pull down my pants too. The snaps irritate my legs sometimes, so that's why I didn't have it buttoned, but it's nice to have that long back for when I bend over or sit down. The first thing he said was, "what's with your underwear?" I was wearing a Crinklz Astronaut diaper, so it was pretty obvious. I stumbled verbally, explaining that it helps me feel better. I admitted to occasionally bedwetting, but he didn't seem too concerned with that, but prodded a little on why I wore them during the day. I repeated that it helps, and he said, "whatever works, right?" Who knows what he wrote in the consultation documentation. Maybe something? Maybe nothing? It was my first time experiencing something like this, and it was nerve wracking. But it wasn't as bad as I thought it could have been. tl;dr, I went to a consult today with my doctor and he saw I was wearing a Crinklz Astronaut. He said, "hey, whatever works", I'm glad it went as well as it did. Enviado desde mi SM-N960U mediante Tapatalk
  15. Oh yeah! It's certainly becoming less taboo, which is wonderful. The anchors of Fox News had a scavenger hunt for random items, and they found quite a few people wearing diapers and openly admitting it. I don't think I would ever go to a countdown event like that without being padded! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
