  1. This past week I went into a stall in the men's room at a restaurant to change out of my diaper. Someone had left a completely soaked male guard next to the toilet. It was slightly rolled up but it was so soaked that it had begun to unroll. It was clear that it was used to the max. I was surprised that it was used to the max like this because of the high likelihood of a leak. I know that is the case for diapers. The only case that the pad didn't have a leak would be if someone decided to soak it intentionally while they were in the stall and leave it there? If its the later, it kinda sucks for the cleaning staff.
  2. Greasy food definitely gets risky. Usually its ok but the telltale sign of bloating and stomach rumbles means I need to be home in the next hour or so. The problem is when it happens on the way home.
  3. Over the past several years, bowel accidents are rare but are increasing. Normally its due to something that I eat but can still happen with a bland diet. The only consistent factor is that I have a stomach ache beforehand which gives me about 30min to an hour before I have an uncontrollable loose bowel movement. I used to stop what I was doing to go home. But the more that its happening, its getting quite disruptive. But its also difficult to clean a bowel accident in a public restroom. Do any of you have a warning sign before a bowel accident and do you go home to make sure it doesn't happen in public?
  4. Like some of you, I rarely use the toilet. Recently, I had a soaked diaper that could not take another void without leaking and I was had pretty bad urgency so I could not wait to change. The stalls were all occupied (some were closed) so I was forced to use the urinal. To make this happen, I untapped one size of the diaper to use the urinal. I tried to be as discreet as possible but its not easy. Does anyone else use the urinal with a diaper and do you have tips on being discreet? thanks,
  5. I don't frequently mess in my diapers. It usually happens if I am out in public and ate something too rich or greasy or disagreeable. When I do mess in the diaper, its because the urgency is so bad that I can't hold it in and I have diarrhea in my diaper. Diarrhea is definitely harder to hold in than urine. If I have diarrhea outside the house, I rarely have time to make it to the bathroom and since I wear diapers all the time, I am prepared. For people who have bowel incontinence or messy accidents, is it usually diarrhea too?
  6. I was wearing a Megamax with booster in the morning and felt an upset stomach. I had a cart full of groceries and I wanted to checkout and thought I could make it home. In fact, the pressure became severe very quickly and I started messing when I walked to the other end of the mega grocery store. I didn't want to mess in public but I had no choice. I left my cart and went to my car to grab my diaper bag (wipes, diapers). It was a lot of loose stool and diarrhea. No other diaper other than a Megamax could have contained it. It must have been something that I ate. I changed into a M4 and about an hour later, I was in the middle of shopping at the mall and I felt a sudden intense pressure in my lower abdomen and I had a diarrhea accident that was thankfully contained by the M4. Once again, I had to interrupt my shopping to grab my diaper bag to clean up. I haven't lost control of my bowels like this before. Without the diapers to save the day, I definitely would have an embarassing incident in public.
  7. Pre-covid, I traveled a lot for business. I had no problems wearing a diaper with the TSA. I always wear a premium diaper (megamax, rearz) during the flight because the water, caffeine and alcohol catches up to me and I make a lot of urine during the flight.
  8. I had a large and unplanned mess in public recently as I posted. Luckily I found a private bathroom to clean myself in complete privacy because I wouldn't be going home soon and I didn't want a rash. After removing the diaper, I noticed I had to go more but I didn't want to sit on the toilet and dirty the seat. So I squatted over my open diaper and pooped some more. This allowed me to keep everything clean and contained and keep the bathroom as clean as possible. Has anyone else noticed the need to poop more even after messing in their diaper? I wonder if the pressure of the diaper against the body keeps the bowels from completely emptying.
  9. I was out today after drinking a lot of coffee and something from lunch upset my stomach so I couldn't help but mess in my confidry 24/7. Luckily I had large wipes in my backpack. I found a private bathroom to clean up and take my time. I used about half the container of wipes and it took about 20min. I wanted to make sure I was as clean as possible to prevent a rash. I don't mess in my diaper often but I had no choice. Does it take you all 20min too?
  10. After wearing diapers for so long and also wearing the same diapers for the past several years, I know my diapers and usage pretty well. And still leaks happen. Whether I underestimate how much I am going or how much water I am drinking or get caught up in what I am doing - leaks happen. In fact I had two large leaks last week. Luckily I wore plastic pants. One leak was contained by the plastic pant. When I went to change after realizing I hadn't changed in 7 or so hours, I noticed that my PUL pant was wet though my shorts were not. Several days later, I noticed that my shorts were damp but I thought it was sweat because I hadn't gone up in several hours and the office is pretty warm. Nope. I had a bad leak. Luckily I was the only one in the office. The PUL pant was completely wet.
  11. The plastic backed TENA are hard to get in the US. Can someone comment about how the TENA Ultima, Maxi compare to Abena M4 or any other brand that is easily accessible in the US?
  12. I would like to hear which diaper you think has the best combination of thinness and absorbency. Here is my rank #1: Wellness Superio #2: Northshore Supreme Thoughts?
  13. The local Goodwill had some cheap medical diapers. It was like $2-3 for a pack of 10-12 diapers. I don't really flood my diapers anymore, its more of a dribble throughout the day. Suprisingly, I can get away with a cheap medical diaper for 3-4 hours of coverage. This isn't an option for people who flood but I think my bladder volume has also shrunk.
  14. I agree that is about comfort level. I had a near call today when I went to the gym this morning and was about to lower my jeans to put on my gym shorts when I heard my name. One of my business colleagues decided to join my gym and also likes to play squash. Nobody from work knows that I wear diapers so it would have been a lot of explaining if he saw me with a diaper on.
  15. I rarely mess in my diapers but if it happens, its usually not intentional. Its usually related to eating something that disagrees with me. I would say that it happens less than a handful of times a year at most. This week I made the mistake of eating too much fried food at a mall food court. I enjoyed eating the food but the stomach grumbles afterwards were an ominous sign. Instead of finishing my errands, I decided to go home just in case. I get to my car and can't find my keys. I am already sweating from the stomach pains and the nervousness of not finding my keys and I just couldn't hold it in anymore. The void happens and I call the stores that I visited and I had left my keys at one of the shoe stores. So now I have to trek back into the mall, into the store to retrieve my keys. I decide to change in the department store that is closest to the parking lot. I normally don't carry wipes with me so all I could do was change out of the soiled diaper and into a new diaper without cleaning myself up. It was a terrible experience and I drove home immediately to clean up and shower. It took about 15min for me to cleanup at home. For those who mess more in their diapers more often than me, any advice on the cleanup especially in public? thanks for sharing
