  1. I would agree they aren't vintage. Seller also set a high value on them. I think pic 7 right hand side, shows a side, but part of it is folded under. I still think the flap starts at center top.

Fourth pic shows a flap extending from the top front of the brief. I can't figure out what it's for. Anyone have an idea? Anyone worn one of these? Seller has several sizes for sale. Different sizes have different pics showing additional information. I think the tag has a URL of www.staydrisystems.com, manufactured by Two Rivers Textiles, and some sizing information.
  3. DailyDi, how long have you had the mattress? At first I figured the vinyl wouldn't last long. From what you describe, it seems as if it's more of vinyl shell than a cover. I also see they sell replacement vinyl covers. Then I remembered the mattresses at the shelter I volunteered at. They didn't crack, afaik. I think they were more of a cover. Kind of funny, checked out medmattress.com and see they sell some for camps. Might work at a cabin I have for when I have more friends than beds. I wish medmattress had a brick and mortar store so I could check them out.
  4. From what I read, the outer most layer is vinyl. There is a secondary waterproof barrier. They sell replacement vinyl covers. I don't have a clue on the quality of the mattresses, the do describe each layer of the mattress. I can see the point about a good mattress with a good cover. Which mattress cover do you use? SaniSnooze is a subsidiary of mattress.com. They sell camp, homeless shelter, ambulance and other medical type mattresses. Thinking about it, I have probably slept on one of there homeless shelter mattresses when I have volunteered as a shelter host.
  5. Serendipity search found this HTTPS://SaniSnooze.com Has any seen this or have one?
  6. I have had success washing a overnight Rearz and Gary prefolds in the morning, then hanging it in the shower over a rod after I finish washing and turning a fan (admittedly not a small fan) towards them before bedtime. They are dry in the morning. I hang them over a rod and spread them out so they are flat on the rod and I find its helpful to pin the front side to the back side near the rod at each end, so they don't blow off the rod...they won't dry when they are on the shower floor even with a very large fan! Just what works for me, YMMV. WBxx---people can also buy flannel sheets from Goodwill, cut to size and use without hemming. Occasional trimming of scraggly edges helps. You can choose to cut them rectangular for prefolds type or square for kite folding. Cheap, easy and lots of flats when Goodwill has sheets. Phl655 and rusty pins, the quote function is useful. It took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on, since the spelling error was fixed when I read it.
  7. I think a smaller size would have fit me (my waist is 41.5" at my belly button line, 39.5"a little lower and thigh 22".) Using a larger size allows me to have the front of the diaper folded to the thick width with the back able to reach the front comfortably, and the diaper be folded lengthwise so the front is folded down about 12"-13". This adds absorbency where I need it and reduces leaks.
  8. I purchased two each Rearz and Gary XL prefold from www.MyProtex.com during there Cyber Monday sale. Great sale prices, a gift added to the order and quick shipping. I have used each diaper a few times. I didn't prepare diapers, just used them out of the box. After each use I have bucket washed the prefold and line dried with a fan (to decrease the drying time.) I would guess any sizing has been washed out, I don't see any quilting occurring yet. At this time, the Gary measures 41"x44" (width by length), the center area with the extra thickness is 10" and it weighs 1.26# dry. I am not a fabric expert, but I think it's flannel. It is very soft. It is surged around the outside edges. The Rearz measures 38"x44" and the center is 12.5" It weighs 1.84# dry. I think it's a twill fabric. The top and bottom are surged. The side edges are folded (no seams.) I suspect the edges of the fabric are in the center extra thickness area. I have had one leak, I can't remember which one, due to a containment (diaper cover/plastic-pull pants) failure. I weighed each one after I took it off, and they were 28.7-34.64 ounces more than when when dry. They felt damp, but I wouldn't call it soggy by any means. For kicks and giggles, I dunked a Gary in the bucket, waited a bit and the wrung it out so it wasn't dripping. It weighed about six pounds. I intend to update this after I prep them properly.
  9. Sarah, Have you sewn a thin, cute diaper? I would love to see pics of your finished diaper. While I prefer thick diapers, there is a place for thin ones, like when out of the house.

  11. My opinion is you shouldn't expose your kink to others without there consent. I understand it may be his yard, but for me that doesn't change the exposing kink without consent. It seems my opinion is not held by those who have replied. I will be thinking about what others have said and do a bit of reading of past posts. Would anyone's opinion change if minors were in the home that saw the person exposing there kink?
  12. My Mom died a few years ago and Dad died recently. Sorting out Moms cedar chest, I found stuff my Mom had saved. Hospital birth certificate, baby book, newborn pj's, locks of my hair, diapers and vinyl pants. I have a brother so I can't be sure the pj's, diapers and vinyl pants are mine. Reasonably sure the pj's are mine. Two Curity (blue stamp) contour diapers are two layers with a extra couple of layers sewn inside the two layers crotch. About 16" long, back width is 14", front width is 11" Still white, fabric feels thin, not sure how much they would have absorbed, although they could have overstuffed or used two at a time. Also found a Curity (blue stamped) flat, about 38" by 18" which doubled makes a square. Anybody know if Curity made contour in the 50-60's? The vinyl(?) pants are inside shorts and feel sticky and/or greasy. More information and possibly pics tomorrow.
  13. Perhaps a Walmartian visited my local Fred Meyer store. Saw this outside.
