Replying to AbabeBill's first thread. I used to buy Edley/Lang plastic pants here in Southeastern Mass they had Youth size in a couple Department stores. I used to buy Plastic pants back in the late 60's at a 5 and dime close to my house. they were made, or the name on the tag of the plastic pants. had the name "Rand" and they had small round perforations on the side at the top waist band. these where light weight material, soft, had a nice crinkle sound to them and smelled heavenly. these were the first plastic pants I could buy and only available up to Toddler size. I remember them very fondly.

If you want to strip the piece of furniture you are working on the go with solvents such as lacquer thinner, acetone or alchohol. These will harm the finish if used. If you only want to remove the old wax build up use mineral spirits. This will dissolve the wax and not harm the finish below. Use a clean white cotton rag and go over the area several times. This may also dull the luster of the finish a little so I would suggest going over it with a furniture polish such as Murphy's Oil Soap, Old English or Liquid Gold.
